| My lil UNI...
I'v always been a big fan of the Uni's... It's not as big as i would like it to be (around 1:16 scale) but I did the best of what i could find... I'm bad about "step-by-step" build threads but theres alot to be done and i will post more pics as I go along... I started of with a Bruder toy truck, surgicaly I removed alot of plastic and only kept what I needed to mount the cab and rear fenders I made a semi-flat bed with 1/2 borders, still working on rear tail gate I used good'ol steryne... I used a Tamiya HiLift latter chassis Narrowed TLT Front axle w/ RCP CVD's, RCP Aluminum steering knuckles Narrowed/Sectioned Mashers 2K's (1.9) on Tamiya Hummer wheels 4 link in front, attempting panhard in the rear 9.5" wheelbase Team Associated buggy front shocks with internal springs - 35WT oil LEFT TO DO: Install GD600/Motor in front of cab with Axial tranny as transfer case Install electronics (TBD) Here some pics! (Before...) After... Narrowed and sectioned Mashers... can you find the seem... Heres the sexy-flexy shot... More to come! Last edited by KRAWLR4life; 05-20-2008 at 09:37 AM. |

Thanks guys... I have alot planned... The gap in between the chassis and flat bed (in the middle) after I install AX10 tranny as a transfer case, I will put a panel on each side to "hide" tranny I also need to setup a steering servo in the front of the chassis and a winch. I'm up for any cool "military" type ideals! Let me know (based on the pictures) what you guys think would be cool additions the this lil Uni! Quote:

I would also say that the lights need to go. I think a cool paint job would make it look a lot better, like desert camo? Good job though keep it up!

Yes, Unimogs are sweet. I have a collection of 1:87 scale models. Wish someone made a 10th scale body of one, but your rig is as good as they get.
