Real Jeeps have round headlights right?

This is my first scaler build. I started with a re-release Pajero kit. I have plans for more mods, like windows, interior, and bumpers. Those may be slow in coming though. . . . .

It was almost too pretty to get dirty. Almost . . . . "thumbsup"

Thanks for the compliment.
The wheels are Erickson Beadlocks the Tamiya tires actually fit very nicely into the grooves. "thumbsup"

And BTW the lights are from Twisted Accessories

Awesome Jeep! Any pics with how you mounted the body? My brother has a 1.1 Liberty and I wanted to build him a Liberty scaler. Where did you get the body from?

Good luck with mudding it up. XC chassis are a ton of fun"thumbsup"

The body came from a "toy" RC that I bought off of eBay. I think it was a New Bright. They don't come up very often. You just have to keep watching for them.

I built a mount out of styrene for the front of the body and used velcro to mount it. In the rear I just drilled a couple of holes and used the stock Pajero mounts.

Nice pictures....

Round lights are better...

Hmm. I just scored a New Bright Liberty off ebay...you'd better not be the guy that outbid me on the last one I tried to get:D

Is that a Savage bumper?

Glad I got to see the KJ body mounted to the XC chassis before I decided to go that route.

The tires look a lot wider on those wheels than they do on 26mm TC wheels

guamcrawler 08-17-2008 06:16 PM

the rig looks good what is the WB on the liberty?
i am using a Jeep cherokee body on my XC chassis
and the WB is 9.5 looking for another body to use

Yes it is, I plan to switch to some brazed bumpers one of these when I get some spare time . . . .

Thanks, I'm not sure on the wheelbase, I'm out of town on business right now. I can measure it next week when I get back home. I can tell you that I'm running the stock Pajero wheelbase. It's not perfect, but it's pretty close.

Really, the 1.9 beadlocks worked on a cc-01 chassis? I have tried but the inner bead ring interferes with the HUGE axle C. I was so disappointed.

This is how I overcame that issue.
