| ~TSS~ The Ultimate Truggy
well maybe not the ultimate, but it will be running rc4wd "ultimate scale axles" had this project in the works for quite some time, and got alot left ahead of me. cut the chassis a few months ago, and its been on the patio growing character.... in the mean time i started on the body work. the first cut. of course you wont see me building a yota or ford truggy i bought this body from runnin2jeep nearly a year ago. then cut out the hood slices to narrow the front end. then notched the fender tops and heated them up so it would hold its shape. with the fenders pulled in of course the hood was too long, i needed to remove exactly 1/8" i removed the 1/8" and glued the leading edge of the hood back on, fit so good i didnt even need filler, also glued the fenders back to the hood. then i re-enforced all the joints with some .060 styrene got the chassis mocked up, and the tube work plans done and printed for bend patterns. it will be a removeable bolt on cage, in the lower left side view you can see the mount tabs. new hood, to cover the blower hole. not sure what wheels yet, but probly a set of hummer wheels with TSS Faux lox rings made a set of link and shock mounts until i get the motor mounted and situated for the atlas t-case(already preordered), im gonna run a axle mounted servo :( only until i see what room ive got to work with for the frame mount servo. heres the mount i made. heres the mount tabs and braising jig for the tube rear upper link mounts and heres the narrowed steel grill i made. with buckets to match. just have to put the clod grill bend in it, and braise some mount tabs on to it the off to the patio it goes LOOOTS of work left.... |

Dibs on the Chevy grille when they are available. The axles look nice, but those wheels are sweet. |

You bastard! This was going to be my winter scale project! Love the pinch job, and grill. Please tell me your going to leave the fine patina that the chassis has acquired? I'll be watching this one. If you need seats for it, let me know.:-P |
