My Tamiya Tundra Just got this in yesterday and started building it up. Not sure what color to paint it. Building it stock for now, but that will change. Looks cool, I just picked up mine yesterday but spaced the bearing kit so it won't be assembled until next week. Funny you mention the truggy, thats the first thing I said when I pulled the cab out of the box. I like a darker color on this body... |
I saw one of these for the first time yesterday, Tamiya is killing me!:ror: Typical Tamiya scale quality as they nailed the body of the Tundra. So glad they did this truck. I'm a hardcore Jeep guy but Yota P/U's have always had a special spot in my heart. So now I have three Tamiya's to get, the HiLux, Wrangler and Tundra! |
Damn. That means jealous. ;-) |
very nice. i see a very nice line for a truggy. something new and radial... very good keep us posted. |

I can't wait to see people start cutting those bodies up I'm sure we'll see pretty awesome ideas come out of that body, just like the F-350 and the Hilux builds on this forum"thumbsup" Lookin good so far:) |
I want one of these so bad. Keep it up."thumbsup" |
I love the new Tundra body... Yea it might look pretty good as a truggy too. |
im going to be ordering mine in about three weeks. i love the way they look, im thinking a burnt orange and black exo cage. o i cant wait to get mine. time to plot out the build. yours is looking great "thumbsup"ok i couldnt wait just ordered mine from RPP:mrgreen: |
Got more work done on it. I wanted to get some outdoor shots today, but it just kept raining. http://i133.photobucket.com/albums/q...a/IMG_3371.jpg http://i133.photobucket.com/albums/q...a/IMG_3372.jpg http://i133.photobucket.com/albums/q...a/IMG_3373.jpg http://i133.photobucket.com/albums/q...a/IMG_3374.jpg http://i133.photobucket.com/albums/q...a/IMG_3375.jpg http://i133.photobucket.com/albums/q...a/IMG_3376.jpg So what do you think? I may get rid of the light bar in the bed. |
Looks good, nice color. I think it would look better without the light bar. |
I think it looks awsome as is!! The light bar needs to be replaced with a roll bar but other that that it looks great...... imo; The Tundra is the best looking scale truck Tamiya has came out with in a long time |
i like it!!!!! lose the light bar"thumbsup" |
Looking really good...what colour is that? Gun metal perhaps? Also did you do any other mods? |
it looks awsome"thumbsup", i would take the light bar out. |
Okay...its official. Light bar has to go!! The color is Gun Metal, and no other mods at this point. Down the road for sure, just to many projects. |
looks good "thumbsup" |

wow thats a great looking rig, and that wheel and tire combo looks great. i won't beat you up about the lightbar... but i think your rig would look a bit nicer without it as others have said. great job !!! "thumbsup" |
