Default chevy 2500....pictures uploaded

i started with a chevy ss dale earnhardt truck from walmart.

then i took the body off the toy and took all the lights and everything off....started to cut the bed...thread works awesome just take your time and use plenty of it

next took it outside for a good wet sanding and bondo

next i didnt like the size of the wheels so i cut the inside bead off one and glued it to the other on the inside....just sand the crome off and used some bondene styrene glue and it worked great

one the right ofcourse is the widend wheels i like how they turned out

had to start on my drop bed...didnt feel like making the wheel wells so this is how she looks..i know the lines aint straight...but its the first i have done will change later and make it better

next i started on the frame...went to lowes and bought some c-channel alum...turned out good i think...

man i think i need to shave...lol

frame on the body alone with my vemon 55t rock crawler motor and my r2 2 speed dig tranny

my tlt axles...rear axle has rc4wd's straight axle adapters

took a old weedeater recoil and cut to make some leaf springs...was going to go 4-link but like the leaf spring look better

took the 4-link axle mounts and cut them in half to make the shackles for the leafsprings...i think they look good

my bills custom rc lighting kit...i love it...15 leds, roof, headlight, taillights, fog lights...i highly recommend him...only paid $23.80 shipped and only took 5 days to my door.

my extras i have for her...rc4wd wireless winch, 90mm scale shocks, my tlt axles

last for now my bumpers...custom made by 1badxj....my bully wireless winch will mount right in the bumper alone with 2 10mm lights...rear bumper(not pictured yet) will have drop hitch for the goodie i have waiting for this truck (last picture)

rock sliders can be mounted either way

HOWS SHE LOOKING

Looking good Derek, the front bumper is almost finished. made the frame mounts and the D-shackle hangers. Will have to post up pics tomarrow.

Just need to make the rear and your set to go.

I would like to see a side shot of the truck how it will be sitting on the frame. Is the frame tucked in the body or under it?

on the sides it is tucked some but the front and back is going to be right where the bumpers go
