So today I start the build I've been wanting to do since I first got into Rc Rock crawling the hardbody 2dr jeep jk from asiatees. I think I'm going to stay brushed with it unless I really feel it's not enough for the weight. So far this is what I have to get going Gcm j2 skeleton chassis Vanquish knuckles, hubs, lockouts, lockers, VVD Plastic tranny case(for now VP was out of stock) metal transmission gears SSD WB8 uni joints instead of cvd's SSD Scale hubs Wild boar driveshafts since I can't find anything scale that's the correct length Steel beeftubes for the front axle Axial HD diff gears Locked up Rc trail ready rims with scale hardware and gridlock rings SDI trial doc 1.9 tires And a set of 1.55 pitbull growlers Red Asiatees jeep jk body Gcm axial link set Gcm scx panhard Kit Savox high torque servo (temporary till I get a hitec) Got the rims assembled not sure how the tires are going to do but they look awesome Waiting on all my parts to come in today so I can put the vp hubs and the SSD scale hubs Well all my parts finally got here time to start putting it together and I pick up the chassis this weekend to get everything installed and hopefully ready for a little "g6" were having down here in south Florida on the 20th and the body arrives next week, hope to have it running for a shakedown next weekend So purtyy Last edited by THX_138; 02-17-2016 at 08:11 AM. Curious to hear your feedback. I'm slowly acquiring parts and painting a d90 defender. The gcm chassis is going to be next on the list. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Got the body in finally and got it "mounted" it will work for now but need a more permanent solution, truss should be here today so I'll get the front axle mounted. Well she's finally ready to drive, lowered it a lot more, added an rc4wd front bumper. Now just need to tweak it and start adding all the scale goodies I think it's a very nice chassis it's designed for a 10.6 WB so if the d90 is close to that it will work good if not you will have trouble setting up the panhard but please if you do decide to use this chassis with that body let me know I've been dying to get a d90! Cool guy they call dickyT who happens to drive for the same team as me #teamGspeed Getting the saddle pack battery holders made up using some aluminum sheets I had left over should add a little more weight too It's a running rig now didn't do to bad the tires are horrible going to stretch some 1.55 growlers on it, and I need to find a more solid option for the driveshaft from the transmission to transfer case Truck did amazing today I couldn't be happier with it it surprised me a lot, I was able to do lines that some 12.3wb lexan body rigs couldn't do at our local crawler course, might throw it on rockbeast to get some more clearance Last edited by THX_138; 04-13-2016 at 09:07 PM. | |
