Well...I originally posted this up in the newbie general section...and figured I'd move it over to the 1.9" scale section where it belongs and then delete my original thread. This is my start in RC's basically...about 1-1/2 yrs ago. I'll let the pics do the explaining... Here we go...................... HOW I BOUGHT IT............... MY FIRST RC PAINT JOB (base coat / clear coat) BEDLINER.....62Pyro's rings....and some Trail Doc XL's... FLAT IRONS and Homemade Rocker Sliders BUMPER....ALUM WHEELS....and some axles and other parts that I tried for awhile or traded off eventually. DETAILING and Mirrors added................ Detailed the Winch and added windshield wipers and my NICKNAME (TATER) to the RIG..... DETAILED MORE BODY LINES.... REPLACED PLASTIC SHACKLES WITH NEW STEEL ONES....... TORE IT ALL APART AGAIN TO TRY A DIFFERENT SUSPENSION SETUP and UPGRADED SOME STUFF (added Safari Snorkel/Scale Shocks...etc)....... INSTALLED SOME UPGRADED LEAFS....MADE UP A PLATE...ETC... I even cut out some little month and year stickers and put them on my license plate too. Makes it look a little bit more realistic. I liked these years of plates because it reminds me of my youth...LOL. Last edited by BiG_DaWgZ; 11-08-2010 at 12:04 AM. |

BIG CHANGES ******* ADDED SCX-10 CHASSIS & DRIVETRAIN*****AND I ALSO ADDED COMPLETE BRUISER INTERIOR AND GLASS !!!!! HOW IT CURRENTLY SITS AS OF 2/3/2010 ! Upgraded to 2.4 GHz 4/ch TX/RX I learned how to cut up tires awhile back...so I made myself some Claw Dawgs for it. Upgraded to Novak Goat ESC and Brushless 18.5 ADDED @twill Tubular bumper/winch mount...with 4 bolts into my steel chassis (SUPER STRONG NOW !) "Frenched" my winch into a stock HighLift Bumper...makes the front end look MUCH better and goes very good with @twill's tubular stinger/winch mount bumpers ! MORE TO COME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for checkin it out guys... Last edited by BiG_DaWgZ; 02-03-2010 at 01:11 AM. |

Great transformation and it looks lot better on a scx chassis. It is sitting much lower thus looking very scale. |

I made the first rocker sliders that were shown mounted on the original hilift chassis. I recently moved and I don't have any workspace for my welding/brazing activities yet ! But I'll be back to making my own bumpers/cages and rocker protection pretty soon. I'm re-arranging alot of stuff and I'll gain a small one car attached garage to do my work in here in the next month or two. Thanks I had some outdoor/action shots but they're on my other laptop which is currently infected w/the "Internet Security 2010" Virus and several others that go along with that nasty little virus. SO...I'm not sure if I'll get any of those files back yet or not....it corrupted MANY...MANY files on that laptop. It was 6 yrs old so I was ready for a new upgraded laptop anyways. I've stopped fidddling with the old one for now....I have a buddy who's pretty good w/that stuff and he's supposed to take a look at it soon..hopefully! Hey guys....I haven't updated this truck's thread in awhile !! Here it is with some 1.55" Rock Stomper tires mounted up on a set of 1.9" ALUMINUM True Scale beadlocks w/62Pyro rings that I re-Drilled to fit this application....and then painted to match. Thanks ARon |

How hard was it to seat the bead on a 1.9 rim? I still think this is a sharp looking yota. |

Wasn't too bad at all...I've done this with 4 different sets of 1.55" tires (3 sets of 1.55" Stompers..1 set of 1.55" Crushers).....on 3 different sets of 1.9" beadlock wheels. I've mounted 1.55" Rock Stompers on the following: 1.9" True Scale Wheels 1.9" TSS "Trail Ready" Wheels 1.9" CAC "Sinner's" I've had no problems mounting these up.....but I will admit...sometimes...it can try you're patience when you're trying to hold the bead in or work the bead in...while placing the beadlock rings on the wheel. I'm pretty patient... I've had other guys tell me that it was impossible to do when they tried doing this....so I guess I should say "Try at you're Own RISK !!!" Thanks ARON |

| Thanks bud ! I'll post up a build thread/assembly thread on my other GREEN one...I've got another one that is painted a Green/Gold color that looks pretty sweet too...if ya like GREEN that is !! Thanks....the whole Yota thing.....it's a SICKNESS...I tell ya !!! It had them at one time....but then I changed them out...when I went SCX......it may be getting them again tho...I just don't know if I want to lose my 4-link. I could always convert the Yota Axles over to 4 link....I guess. Thanks Bud ! Thank you...I appreciate your's...and everyone else's comments !! Aron |

That's a great looking rig. The funny part is I've got a long time buddy on a game I play that goes by "GreenTater"..Green truck with "Tater" on the bed was kind of a kick-back. Lol. |
