What is the finish on the fuel cell? What is it constructed out of? |

Got some missing parts from RC4WD today, a steering wheel and winch hook. What to do list to finish off this build: - Replace the temporary all thread links with final ones. I'm thinking 4mm stainless rod with 4mm Traxxas rod ends. - Steering linkage - Paint the remaining panels - Rebuild the shocks for smoother action. - Wire her up http://i438.photobucket.com/albums/q...Videos/tc1.jpg http://i438.photobucket.com/albums/q...Videos/tc5.jpg http://i438.photobucket.com/albums/q...Videos/tc6.jpg http://i438.photobucket.com/albums/q...Videos/tc2.jpg http://i438.photobucket.com/albums/q...Videos/tc3.jpg http://i438.photobucket.com/albums/q...Videos/tc4.jpg |
Do you have any full body pictures with the fuel cell in place? |

Santa stopped by and now I've got a few more tires to choose from. Baja Claws or Boggers? http://i438.photobucket.com/albums/q...eos/tires1.jpg http://i438.photobucket.com/albums/q...eos/tires3.jpg http://i438.photobucket.com/albums/q...eos/tires2.jpg http://i438.photobucket.com/albums/q...eos/tires4.jpg |
Wow, thats a tough call, those are great tires. But I think the claws look better on this rig. IMO"thumbsup" |
The Baja Claws get my vote. |
yup claws do it for me too ..... amazing job on the whole thing. |
nice i like the look of the boggers:twisted: |
I like the look of the Bogger thread pattern more but the Baja Claws have the right dimensions being a few millimeters wider. Both tires feel really soft and sticky though and should perform well. |
damn...so sick... good job bro..."thumbsup" |
I'f I may add, yes its the CLAWS!"thumbsup" |
I like the claws, but it would be great looking with just about any tire. "thumbsup" |
I'll have to wait for spring and try both tires and choose the ones that perform better. Got the car wired up today. I did try to get it done as clean as possible but this was still the result: http://i438.photobucket.com/albums/q...deos/wire1.jpg Lights up front: http://i438.photobucket.com/albums/q...deos/wire2.jpg And then out in the dark for a test drive. The first run revealed a slight torgue twist problem but that got solved with slightly heavier springs in the rear. No TQ issue any more. http://i438.photobucket.com/albums/q...os/test1-1.jpg http://i438.photobucket.com/albums/q...deos/test4.jpg http://i438.photobucket.com/albums/q...deos/test2.jpg http://i438.photobucket.com/albums/q...deos/test3.jpg |
It looks really nice with that white background. What is that white stuff? We don't see much of it here in TX. |
Couldn't resist to take a few posers of an almost finished product: http://i438.photobucket.com/albums/q...mostthere3.jpg http://i438.photobucket.com/albums/q...mostthere2.jpg http://i438.photobucket.com/albums/q...mostthere4.jpg http://i438.photobucket.com/albums/q...mostthere7.jpg http://i438.photobucket.com/albums/q...mostthere6.jpg http://i438.photobucket.com/albums/q...mostthere5.jpg |

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snow Honestly, winter is way too long here. I guess I was born in the wrong country. I don't like winter at all. |
Diggin how clean this is"thumbsup" How about steel wooling the faces of the fuel cell. May give it a more brushed aluminum look and may help accentuate the welded seem. The faces looks a bit too weathered as is.... just a suggestion |

I agree that the fuel cell is too weathered compared to the rest of the truck. I''ll try steel wool on a piece of aluminum tape and see what happens. |
