| Best wheels for my SCX10?
I just ordered a set of 1.9 Boggers and a set of Mickey Thompson Claws and I need wheels to install them on. I think I need some wheels that I can put some weight in for crawling. Can anybody make suggestions on what would be the best bead lock wheel but not to over priced? Thank you for your suggestions.

If you plan on staying with 1.9s I had awesome luck with the RC4WD rok lox, I went to 2.2 rok lox and had just as much fun but with alil modification to the wheelbase and such. Just make sure they are scaler tires, my buddy got proline hammers for his scx10 and I bitch slapped him Edit: didnt realize it said wheels.... RC4WD has a great selection. I run 1.9 Steel OEM's and Tango Down's, along with the stock SCX wheels. All with great results! |

If I use the stock wheels what do you recomend to use to weight them down? I don't like the look of the weights on the back of the wheel. Do they make something to put inside the tire?

Most people use stick on wheel weights designed for real automobile wheels. The work really well. On the subject of wheels too. The stock wheels will probably hold up fine in most cases, but the main reason people switch to a quality aluminum wheel is for durability. The plastic hexes can strip out on the stock wheels and the screw holes can also strip out. The stock wheels do look good though, but there are so many high quality aluminum wheels that would definitely set the truck off and make it different than the rest. Its all about individuality, there are many SCX10's out there that look the same, how will you set yours apart from everyone else? |
