| LandRover DF90 ---HRT-01 Chassis---
I'd like to present our latest project. The HRT-01 chassis: A highly resilient ladder frame, with great torsional flexibility for improved off-road performance. Many off-road vehicles are actually designed to allow chassis-twist. Ladder frame chassis are usually relatively flexible in twist to enable the vehicle to travel rough terrain without the wheel losing ground contact or causing high local stresses in the frames, the Unimog is a prime example of this. Our objective was to obtain a ladder frame chassis with the appropriate dynamic and structural behaviour in extreme off-road conditions. A chassis stiff enough to withstand all the loads, but at the same time flexible enough to distribute these stresses throughout its length. To achive this torsional flexibility the side members were designed as c-sections, and the chosen material was Nylatron because of its mechanical properties and wear-resistance. Why does this thread come off as sounding like your selling or making the chassis/kit?

Performance looks good. I like the way the shock mounts are adjustable. The light tabs are pretty cool too. They will let all of the led's stay with the chassis. I'm not sure how many people run creepers for their scalers, but good luck with your star. |
