Links for 4dr Jeep??????

Can anyone tell me what are good options to get my stock SCX10 Honcho wheel base to fit my Newbright 4dr jeep? I'd like to have the hubs nice and centered in the wheel well.

I'm sure there is a post hiding on this forum somewhere that will answer my question, but for it has eluded me. Any info. would be appreciated.

Look in the SCX section for people that have built up JKs,
Or browse or search the 1.9 section for JK builds.

4mm or 6/32 threaded rod from your local hardware.
Traxxas Rod ends from your LHS (#1942 uses smaller rod, Revo/Jato larger rod)
Move the shock hoops
May want to lengthen the frame

This causes the rear end to move way back, but the front to be the same. So many lengthen the frame in the center, at the skid plate. You are going to need drive shafts too.

I machine my links on my engine lathe. I use 1/4 inch Aliminum rod, drill tapped for 3 mm threaded rod to hemi-link ends. Unfortunately, that won't help you.

if its the cherokee I just did 2 91mm lower links and left the front stock and positioned my body to fit. Came out real well.

Not sure if I understand this right. You want to put a 12.3" WB under a 13" WB New Bright Jeep JK?

I don't know about that. Cut the body and make it shorter? Or, a few folks on here use the Axial 106mm links on the bottom front and rear.

On mine. I tucked the spur gear under the seat so I didn't have to cut the body, and made links to fit the WB.

I'm not at home at the moment, other wise I would share me link lengths. I did have to make a longer driveshaft for the front.

real simple

Just use the steering/tie rods from Traxxas for the revo. Super cheap and if you are already asking, this may be your best solution.

Jeep ????

Hey all thanks for all the info. I was able to find a few threads that helped out a bunch. What I finally did was buy some all-thread, aluminum tubing and traxxas rod ends from the local hobby shack. I then basically made two sets of 106mm links for front and rear. So now I'm ready to buy everything I need to start brazing a bumper and roll cage for the New Bright body. Wish me luck this should get interesting:lmao:
