| Yet Another 4Runner Buildup
After seeing Mike's and TwistedCreation's 4Runners, I had to have one. So, after a bunch of looking around and talking with different people, I found this new built one from France. I also picked up a spare runner body from Italy. The truck arrived mint and even came with the original instruction manual and a box art paint job! So far for this truck I have purchased new TLT axles, a new E-maxx transmission, and various odds and ends to get it on all 4's. Here is the cherry "victim": Here is is one the 1:1 wheeler: The same day it arrived, I immediately stripped it of all of the factory crap. I then mounted the TLT axles using 105mm Traxxas turnbuckles as well as some booty fab upper link mount plates that I made to hold it together for now. To mount the links at the chassis, I used 4 of the factory TLT lower link mounts purchased from Tower Hobbies. Here are some more pics: That's how it sits now. I will take some more pictures of how I mount the E-maxx transmission and whatever I figure out for replacement upper link mounts/servo mount. The truck also needs tie rods since I accidentally sold the TLT ones with the rest of the kit. I will probably add more cool scale stuff to this truck. Let me know if you guys have any ideas. Thanks for looking! |
