Re: Tins Tundra |
Paint time Well comp time is coming up and I decided the thing was in pretty bad shape and needed some waterproofing. So I tore it down and waterproofed and painted. http://i738.photobucket.com/albums/x...ler/file-2.jpg http://i738.photobucket.com/albums/x...er/file-25.jpg http://i738.photobucket.com/albums/x...er/file-26.jpg http://i738.photobucket.com/albums/x...caler/file.jpg Should I run with my company logo on the door like a work truck? http://i738.photobucket.com/albums/x...ler/file-1.jpg |
Re: Tins Tundra Matt black looks great! Love that shot of the front tire up in the wheel well! Great looking rig! |
They have Toyota logos engraved in them. :-) |
Re: Tins Tundra i almost bought that rig when it was in the for sale section glad youre wheeling it looks good "thumbsup" |
Re: Tins Tundra Another fine tundra, congrats on the new rig and glad you wheeling and modding it to your taste. Agree with the others, the logos on the rings are a nice touch. Keep the updates rolling in. Any pics of how the cab and bed are mounted? Cheers T |

Re: Tins Tundra Got to love the black yota! http://i790.photobucket.com/albums/y...9/IMG_0232.jpg |
Did this yesterday. Use a can lid and printed a sticker on my laser printer. http://img.tapatalk.com/4be13bec-877b-28fb.jpg http://img.tapatalk.com/4be13bec-87e8-a13e.jpg http://img.tapatalk.com/4be13bec-87c1-1ed2.jpg http://img.tapatalk.com/4be13bec-8858-3f85.jpg It moves if hit by rock and bends like a real plate would. |
Re: Tins Tundra Scale comp coming up so I have been wrenching to get ready. :-) Some tow chains and bungee cords. http://i738.photobucket.com/albums/x...er/file-35.jpg Some rings on the front for towing. http://i738.photobucket.com/albums/x...er/file-36.jpg Some firewood. http://i738.photobucket.com/albums/x...er/file-31.jpg I am not sure if this part counts, but I put the spare tire underneath the bed like a real truck would have. This lowers my COG and I think it's a bit more realistic. http://i738.photobucket.com/albums/x...er/file-32.jpg http://i738.photobucket.com/albums/x...er/file-37.jpg |
Re: Tins Tundra looking good |
Re: Tins Tundra |
Re: Tins Tundra I love it man... great work... can't wait to get to run with you again next time I'm on PA, or..... you could just make a trip out here to Colorado and climb on some bigger rocks!!! |
Re: Tins Tundra Scale cat5e. I know it's not trail stuff, but it's whats in my 1:1 truck. ;-) http://i738.photobucket.com/albums/x...er/file-49.jpg Junk in the back. My tool box wasn't dry yet so it's not in the pic but it will hold the tow straps. http://i738.photobucket.com/albums/x...er/file-51.jpg Amsoil dealer sticker. http://i738.photobucket.com/albums/x...er/file-52.jpg and a spare that is legal. http://i738.photobucket.com/albums/x...er/file-54.jpg Currently at -33 points as long as the cat5 and monitor count. :-) |
Re: Tins Tundra Made a tool box for the tow straps to go in. DOes that count as functional scale item? http://i738.photobucket.com/albums/x...er/file-55.jpg http://i738.photobucket.com/albums/x...er/file-56.jpg Its got a metal lid. I just have to find some hinged and magnets to hold it closed. |
Re: Tins Tundra Little more done and another package arrived. :-) These little babies will make it go for a while. :-) http://i738.photobucket.com/albums/x...er/file-57.jpg I cut up a sherbet container and made some front fender wells. They aren't perfect, but you can't see the mistakes. :-) thats another scale point! http://i738.photobucket.com/albums/x...er/file-59.jpg http://i738.photobucket.com/albums/x...er/file-60.jpg http://i738.photobucket.com/albums/x...er/file-61.jpg And then finally I threw on a set of class one tires just to see how it would look. Actually looks like a truck of a guy who lives in my town and owns a boat shop. http://i738.photobucket.com/albums/x...er/file-62.jpg |
Re: Tins Tundra Real happy with how this rig did. I took second at the comp on Sunday. Lets hope I can keep up that trend throughout the season. I have a feeling it was just beginners luck. :-) |
Re: Tins Tundra Oh no , I'm thinking ringer :lmao: Really you did do good yesterday , You get more wheel time and who knows you could be first. "thumbsup" |
