i have been working on this build for a while so i decided to share some pics..

so i picked up a TF2 Mojave body awhile ago and am finally getting this project going..
i bobbed it, trimmed the grill and front fenders, tube work by jthellfire911

THE PARTS LIST:

Tekin FXR
Tekin 35t Handwound
Castle BEC
Hobbico CS170 servo
Aluminum chassis kit
axial CVD's
MIP shafts
Aluminum scx10 shocks up front
random shocks with random springs i got from LowBudget and Jonsey in the rear

Looks damn good man! If that tube work didn't fight me the whole time I'd say I'm gonna build me one too.. but nah I'll let yours be unique. Lol.

Thanks lol it is all MIG welded and so it makes cleanup a pita. Lol I can't wait to see this thing all done! Hurry up with the updates!

thanx guys, and yeah i'm really diggin the colors.. the paint turned out way better than i expected!



Well i got my interior and driver ready, fits awesome!
Waiting for the glue to dry. Pics of cab/interior on chassis coming soon! Stay tuned..

Gettin close.. Still gotta decide on wheels.
I got the interior in and got it wired up (still have some clean up and waterproofing to do)

i must say i really do like that, makes me kinda want to do a hilux now. any of the chassis need to be trimmed off to make it fit?

nope, even with it being bobbed there was still some room for adjustment.

Ran into a bit of trouble.. I'm using a used tranny and realized it had a bent motor plate and the spur gear had been damaged because of that.

I also dont seem to have the correct screw for my hobbico servo (splined servo horn screw). Thought they were made by hitech but none of my metric screws fit it (should be m3) is the hobbico standard? Anyone have experience with these servos?

I had the same problem with my hobbico, I think they are standard. I also should have a motor plate I'll give ya if you bring those scale plates to me. Lol

figured it out.. the guys at my LHS sold me a hitec screw set, worked awesome. they said they are a 2.6mm

they also had my spur gear and plate, thanx anyway jt

i love em, they hook up awesome.. i put some stiffer foams and weighted the rims. very happy with it

Humm, ok, thanks for the opinion, but still think too big and don't like big tires unless a truggys...

if you're looking for a smaller looking tire, check these out. they are more narrow so they look smaller buts still give you the same ground clearance. Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ

Thanks, but in my hilux think is better a softer tire ... Mud Thashers maybe ... Or the Invander I have ...
