| '73 Bronco IFS U4 built Axial tuff with Traxxas stuff
We're really getting some momentum on u4 racing up here in Mn with the yeti release last year. Were even building a course. My yeti is working really well for 2.2 but wanted a specific 1.9 option. After seeing the TH do ok for some racing I looked into it but figured I could build something better. My plan was to use as many leftover parts as possible and build a steel cage rig with an ifs out of something. Parts plan when I started. Wraith skid Dlux mod wraith rear axle. Yeti kit trailing arms Axial scx trans Castle mmp Hh trail master pro 3300 or tekin motor. We'll see 3s lipo from turnigy. Savox wp mg servo Traxxas telluride front a-arms, front drives, and skid. Traxxas slash diff and shock tower (38/13) gearset I test fit the wheels to the traxxas hubs which I knew prob wouldn't fit. Ended up taking 3/8" off each a-arm to narrow the track width 3/4". The telluride arms really lend themselves to being cut down. I also figured I could make an axial exo carrier and knuckle fit that would allow the 1.9 wheels with a relatively small slw hub. I ground out the ends of the arm for the carriers. Chassis fabrication starts. I don't have a good picture of it but the telluride skid definitely fits pretty well on the wraith skid just drilling two holes and mounting it. Here it is with the early chassis sitting on it. Threw the tires on for fitment. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Curious how the diffs hold up. We've had some pissed off customers and they were only running the stock motor on 3s My bad.. Slash gears. Carry on. |

Yea my building gets ahead of posting. It ran this last weekend. It's not done just runable. First problem was the front tires hit the a pillar at full bump and turn. Had to move the a and b pillars back about 1/4" to 3/8" I fabricated a bumper out of some 1/4" 0.035" wall tubing. Started to get the rear sorted out and the shocks mounted on the rear Ready for sandblast and paint. I know some more fabrication is required but I had to get it ready.
