Default JK Jeep Truggy

Well had this body sitting around for a while and figured I should put it to use.
I bought a brand new, new bright jk last year and rippid it apart the first day i got it just for the body and interior.

so on with the build.
tore down my honcho and decided it was time to unstock it and hacked up the jk ....you'll see

grabbed a few ideas from a few builds that I have seen so you may see something that you are responsable for in the idea department.
I will post more picks as I build more so let me know if i am missing anything.

PS.....If anyone has an interior for one of these I need one cause i messed up cutting the panel between the seats and well not that skilled in the styrene department so I am reaching out to see if someone has one they want to let go

anyways heres a few progress pics from tonight

dont know where to mount the spare at the back on the tail or right behind the cab what do you guys think......

after looking at the big pics here i think i am going to mount on the tail that will give me room to make a fuel cell and mount some other cool stuff

what do you guys think should i leave the tail lights where they are or should i fill them in i like the look of the stock tail lights on the cab back

I tell you the cab sits nice on here. the 1.9 pitbulls fit right inside the flares and don't touch when full dumped on iether side

this is a big cab it doesn't look that big till you mount it to the chassis

anyways hope you guys like it this is just the beginning

Looks great!
Is the rear panel steel, alum or styrene?? Tacked to the tubes or other?
What is the wb? Might consider pushing the rears out an inch.

the rear panel is the very back of the new bright jk jeep i cut it off trimmed everything and glued it back on and sanded down the tail gate latches and filled them in. i wanted to keep the stock tail light and licsence plate pocket so thats why i did it this way....as for pushing the rear back a bit i dont quite know if i am going to do that cause now that i have added some more tube to the cage it looks way better now

Nice work

I like the tailights on the cab,i say keep them...i almost did it with a LR3 cab i cut and shut...

The rear shock tower is very cool..i like the look of it,and how it ties into the cage...might have to steal the tower look

I would have went with vertical tyre...looks more balanced behind the cab

Cool Jeep

well did some more detail work today.....

cleaned up some of the brazing and then it was time to get it blasted

#10 mesh glass bead blast.....WOW what a difference

before

after

then i shot some good old gloss black on it man she looks pretty sweet with the paint on it

then i got a little creative with some balsa wood and made a gadet box to mount out back

then i got to the interior .....first time detailing an interior so pardon the crude lines ......i didn't come from the factory with patiance and the shaking hand doesn't help but it turned out allright ..... its going to get dirty in no time anyways
