Default 1.9 RUBICON with a GCM chassis, transfer case & Motor plate

I picked up a "GCM" aluminum chassis with Leaf spring and
front motor plate when I was at ECSC in PA August 26th

I Have to tell you that GCM's machining and design are by far the best I've seen

First off the Chassis is a "C" channel design which gives it that extra "SCALE" realism
Then, the next thing I noticed was the amount of adjustment from front to rear.
there is so much adjustment on this thing you can actually go from 9 3/4" wheel base
to a full blown 11 3/4" for that extended cab body you have laying around.

That being said:
I decided to order that "RED" RUBICON body from Ebay that I've been seeing around lately
The Chassis is a perfect fit to this body right down to the Frame rails contouring the floor pan
It's so stock looking, I almost hated to use the "IROC's" from RC4wd
But wanted that "BEEFY" "Lifted" look

Heres some Pic's of what I have so far
I have removed the doors and "HARD TOP" because I am going to have "MattZilla" make a cage and tube doors

Off cource I will be using a SuperShafty.com BOMB PROOF Trans
and a set of "RED CAP" Velvet coated shocks for this project

Stay tuned

Regards Rick

That looks good already - although I do wonder how it would look with some closer to scale shoes on it.

I do have to say it does look a lot better with these bigger pics than the cell pics the other day!! That does look sick!! Lets see it with the tires from the K5 like we talked, although the red methods are perfect style wise!

lookin good man. haven't been in the 1.9 section in a little while. got too busy with my Deuce.

anywho. looks awesome. those tires bite and dig about as good as any tire out there.

i'd take a knife to those fenders and just take the vertical part off. that way you can tuck the body down a little more on the thing. at full bump a little rubbing is scale!

awesome stuff Rick.

I love these new scale Jeep bodies that are coming out of China. The one good thing that has been produced there. I will say though, even though I dislike saying it, your Iroks are mounted backwards. It may not matter as much as it does on the 1:1's. But on the full size stuff, the tread blocks are directional. so the curved blocks need to be pointed forward (if that makes ANY sense at all).

Really??!!?? This is only the mock-up stage dude. I'm sure he was extremely excited to get us some pics to look at, so he just threw them on really quick to get us trolls something to look at I am sure Rick is sharp enough that when he does final assembly he will switch the rims around so they are on correctly.. Why would you kill the excitement with a comment like that "even though you dislike saying it"??

Rock On Rick!! Get-er-done!! And oh yeah don't forget to flip the tires and rims around!!

I would hate to hear what he had to say about my Push/Pull wheel install...by the way they are glued on... I think it helps in confusing the judge with his reverse calls on me...
