Re: 1967 Ford Courier Class-2 Build Subbed :) |
Re: 1967 Ford Courier Class-2 Build Thanks guys, The bad thing was that unfortunately I had to trim the body up a fair bit for the bigger tyres. I may even go for a different tyre yet, ive basically just dummied up the rig at this stage so ill completely strip it back down and rebuild all the driveline with new bearing etc and ill proably go with some SS or alloy links, I also plan to paint the chassis as well. Also been thinking of swapping from front steering setup over to VP Chubs/Knuckles and VP VVD's as well, but ill see how it all goes as ive still got a couple of mths before the new series kicks off.. |
Re: 1967 Ford Courier Class-2 Build Always loved Courier builds. Regret not building one when the bodies were available. Excited to see this through |
Re: 1967 Ford Courier Class-2 Build Small update, I had mate make me up some boatsides to mount my electronics and lipo on, pretty happy with the results. http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/640...0/802/uygq.jpg Just gotta play around a bit more with my link lengths etc and give it some paint and she will be ready win a few comps hopefully  |

Re: 1967 Ford Courier Class-2 Build Bit of an update, Ive had my Brood motor all freshened up by a mate Crawl ANZ - View topic - Motor Servicing... and ive pretty well got my body sorted, still wanna tint the windows. Ive also got a new set of Axial beadlocks to go on as well. http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/640x480q90/35/abb.JPG http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/640x480q90/59/nsdj.jpg Ive got the 1st round of our local comp season starting next weekend so she will be all ready by then. |

Wow, truck looks great and the photos look awesome! |
Re: 1967 Ford Courier Class-2 Build Nice truck ! I'm just recently getting into crawling and I dig that courier body, didn't even know they made 'em. |
Re: 1967 Ford Courier Class-2 Build Update, due to work commitments etc I ended selling the old blue Courier in this thread in 2014 and had a year or so away from crawling (good news is the old courier is still going strong and competing). Anyway I'm back and I purchased a Scx10 Deadbolt a few mths ago so I can start coming again.. With a bit of reasearch and hunting I got lucky and located another 1967 Ford Courier Body, so it looks like a new build has stared today with a mockup of the body and started to trim etc, will be running in scale-2 so a fair bit of trimming is needed.. http://i555.photobucket.com/albums/j...998f3a22db.jpg |
