| ProJunk's 1.9 YJ Jeep
I wasn't going to do a build thread because this has been done before and I have used some ideas from other members builds so if you see something somebody else did I'm not trying to take credit for it. I started 2 weeks ago so there will be lots of pics to start. I started out with a dingo kit and a proline jeep body but it didn't look scale next to my tf2 so I ordered Tamiya YJ Jeep. I started by making new links so the wheelbase was right. I made new shock mount out of some 1/16 aluminum. |

then I made a radiator out of some zip ties and aluminum (idea from another member) witch also is what holds the body on in the front by hooking to one of the cross braces of the frame. then I made a bracket to move the motor up front and some bumpers I used a bit from my dremel tool set (the sanding drum bit) to make the rear bumper swing works great with the brake line used to make the links with (I think its 1/4 brake line) |

next is the interior I glued some L styrene strips to hold the interior in the body then started to make the interior. made the seats out of some aluminum coil (using the pattern that one of the venders on here gave away) thanks added some padding that I picked up from a craft store. made a center console to hold my "beer"

All this scale shit has my head spinning. Those TSLs look right at home! Are you going to paint that top black?

didn't like the way the lights were on the roof rack so I moved them just glued and zip tied a piece of styrene on it. and this is how it is today.

| Re: ProJunk's 1.9 YJ Jeep haven't run it yet I moved the center plate forward about 1/2'' still had some problems with the driveshaft angles that's why I moved the motor and trans up front and used a transfer case you can get it lower on the plate going to run it this weekend and see how it does
