Default back after 3 or so years of Taking a break

I picked up these 2 jeeps mostly built and have been upgrading mainly the black one as its MINE, the red now pink one is for the gf.
Hers is a c1-c2 rig, that I'll use for c1 comps, and the other is c2 only. You may recognize them. The one I got from lance is mine, the other is for my gf. MIne got new cage paint and still needs new body paint. The c1 jeep got new pink body paint.

I'm trying to decide what color to paint the black jeep. I need to do some body work Bondo on the tops of the doors. I'm just torn. I'd keep the interior black. The cage is removable from the body. So that'll make taping off the interior easier.

Welcome back. Your username is familiar to me. I want to build a nice TJ so badly, so I'm very jealous that you have 2. Those are some great looking jeeps. I am doing my current and next project in the same color as the plastic of the body so it doesn't show scratches as much. All the best.

It's got 3 pockets one on each side of truck on the inside, and one in the front to house the radio. The bottom unzips to allow for a large tackle container. Made custom by madskinz when I built kramer the tundra. I can get more pics when I get home.

Picked up hr 1 piece spool, and rr idler ger for the pink jeep.
Gonna put the savox back into the pink jeep because I picked up an hs7950th servo. 486tq@7.4v! Super stoked! Waterproofed the new servo and got it installed!

So I pulled the pro4 3300 out of the black jeep to put in Poisoned. Picked up a roc412 3100kv and put it in the black jeep. That things got some torque and power too! Excited to try it out and see how it compares to the pro4.

I wanna shout out to emoryworx for helping me use his shop to do some work on the black jeep, got the rig stripped down to the frame and headed up to his shop, blasted the top cage and chassis. Then added a hood support and a couple tabs to the front hoop for the grill mounting. Tomorrow I'll get the hinge for the hood, get it mounted, and add a few pieces of styrene to reinforce the sides of the front clip.

Hinging Hood mod almost done in these pics. Got the associated battery mounts that has the hole through the cap screw and a body clip to hold the hood down.
Getting paint on the chassis and cage. Metallic silver. Should go good with the new paint the body is getting.

I got my hybrid scx10-xr10 vvds installed today, they give me every bit of steering my knuckles and c hubs will allow. I'm super stoked about the purchase. Next up are the rear beef tubes and super thick rear axle shafts and I'm that much closer to a bomb proof drive train.

Got the chassis all put back together, it's a roller. Last thing I gotta do is re mount the servo "was and idiot and left the servo mount at Tim s house.." looks pretty good! Also got my rear shafts in, and beef tubes. One of the shafts are a little bent but not too major to the point of not using them.

So I've got some work done on the dash of the jeep. Now I just gotta wait till the body comes back from my buddy painting it.
I also snagged a set of klr 1.9 gold tires and foams to go on "if the guy ever can ship them" red and black 1.9 omf wheels. Got the sensor board drying as I type this from conformal coating. I waterproof everything!
