Default Scrap Build: Chevy crawler

After my Chevy crew cab build I noticed I had a lot of leftover parts . Enough to start another build. Plus I got different plans for my crew cab so I took some pieces from it. Mainly the drivetrain and electronics. This is where I'm right now

Had a few minutes to do some minor body work. Cut the fenders to get better tire clearance and cut off that ugly tap from the lower front section of the fender...... I'm really liking the look

Been tinkering with the suspension to get the most possible flex from these leafs. I performed the chino mod on the front leafs and no rubber o-rings. I added the "L" shaped pieces from a yota 2 four link mount and used it as a lift block/ shock mount relocator. Also put the shock hoops in the most rear mounting holes. This allowed me to run 80mm shocks I already had. The rear is simple. No shocks. Just leafs with rubber o-rings and a Bowhouse rear shackle mount. Rig gets 4" of travel in the front and 4 1/2" in the rear. Ordered new driveshafts hopefully they'll be here in a few days so I can test this dog.

Looking good!
How did you manage to mount those Proline on RC4WD stamped wheels? I have tried for the life of me to do pretty much the same thing with the wagon wheels without much luck.

Looking like another great build on the way Rick.

Way up at the top, the first pic with the nuts and bolts under the new truck, reminds me of working on my '80 GMC. Odd, I don't remember why I always had extra nuts and bolts left over
