Liking the LNL chassis a lot. Flat, super thick rails with lots of holes for adjustments. Perfect for this build. The ubiquitous Ebay 14:1 planetary trans and transfer case bolts right on, as do the winch-ready "D90" bumpers. Also adapted RC4WD's Simple Leafs to Losi Night Crawler axles. The leaf setup is still in need of attention though. The good thing about the t-case is that the ratio can be changed from 2.14:1 to .75:1 just by swapping the shafts and rotating the case 180, which I think will be needed for these axles for more wheel speed. If that's not enough a Helios clone 2 speed is on the way as well. Wheelbase as it sits in mockup form is only 10" so might have to go the bobtail route. Cant go much longer with this chassis. Or if anyone knows a 10" wheelbase body, please suggest. Last edited by psn; 10-23-2017 at 07:24 PM. |

I believe a lot of the Tamiya bodies are close to 10". The TF2 SWB is 9.9" and that was made for the Tamiya Jeep hard body. But I think a lot of the Tamiya lexan bodies are also close to 10".
