| Its A Lux And Its Red
This is a project I had started, oh back in July of last year I think. Was headed one direction then lost motivation. Would work on it every once and a while then it just sat on the shelf. I got remotivated but decided to go a different direction and just keep it a simple build. Some of the original stuff stayed while some got changed. So this is a built thread as its mostly complete for now. Right now it is sitting ARTR. Just need to hook some elctronics up and finish up a little odds and ends before getting some run time. Some specs: SCX base Hilux body with homemade drop and bobbed bed. Sliders, rear bumber/spare carrier are 3/16 solid rod and steel sheet for front. RCBro leaf mounts for scx RC4WD red leafs RC4WD ULtimate Scale Shocks 70mm. Proline Power Strokes up front CMS Steering Pro line Swampers with stock memory foam Axial 8 hole wheels repainted MThead rings How everything started If you notice the hole in the center of the bed. Its what i came up with for mounting the rear of the body. Kind of a center pin diesign where the spare tire will hold the body down. Ive never been a fan of making interiors. I just get really impatient when it comes to them. I hacked up a dinky interior and added some seats. Up next is the front end. Stuffed a 3 racing winch in between the chasis and modified the grill a little bit. Made up a couple of scale goodies. Attempted to mimic a DeeZee Truck bed utlity chest and cut down a proline jack to make it a little more proportionate. And just a shot of everything before paint. |

The trimmed fenders suit it perfect! This thing looks great. Now go wreck it into scale rocks |
