From D90 to D110 pickup The build is already done but I like to share the way I did it cause you don't see them everyday. It all started with a picture in a Landrover booklet https://s5.postimg.org/z86k0rmfr/000.jpg And a little D90 https://s5.postimg.org/ahlh0owgn/001.jpg First I needed to stretch out the Vaterra chassis to the lenght of a RC4WD D110. It was beyond its limits but all was done without extra parts. Only the rear shaft needed some extra attention. https://s5.postimg.org/rgpu27iaf/005.jpg First cut in a perfectly good body was a pain. No way back:shock: https://s5.postimg.org/kerwg0eon/002.jpg |
Re: From D90 to D110 pickup First cut fixed with some 2mm plastics, no workbench, just the kitchentable  https://s5.postimg.org/bl0zywrpz/003.jpg Second cut at the rear, all measured up from the RC4WD D110 body https://s5.postimg.org/zfu6x9xef/004.jpg That's long enough https://s5.postimg.org/70etjz80n/006.jpg Cabin almost closed. The rear window is just a tat to big but I thought I could use a side window in there. Don't do what I did, make a smaller window. https://s5.postimg.org/rltlbvplj/007.jpg |
Re: From D90 to D110 pickup It's starting to look like a pickup https://s5.postimg.org/gh984ch93/008.jpg https://s5.postimg.org/xf88q6qmv/010.jpg Primer https://s5.postimg.org/rps05vkgn/011.jpg https://s5.postimg.org/y275fpniv/012.jpg |
Re: From D90 to D110 pickup After the build there was some painting. No fancy colours. https://s5.postimg.org/r2t3gcnkn/20170811_190608.jpg https://s5.postimg.org/yzdkokz13/20170811_190630.jpg I lost the original bumper in the woods so I made a new one https://s5.postimg.org/brak7msev/IMG...13-_WA0000.jpg Warm white led's https://s5.postimg.org/z6shczc5z/IMG...14-_WA0002.jpg Voltmeter and some switches https://s5.postimg.org/fq7rqgh1z/IMG...14-_WA0000.jpg |

Re: From D90 to D110 pickup great styrene skills there, come up awesome |
Re: From D90 to D110 pickup It looks good. Your tarp and tie downs are awesome! |
Re: From D90 to D110 pickup Thanks for the compliments. So "tarp" was the word I was looking for :) The tarp is there because of a quick acces to the battery. I don't like to screw the whole body loose for a fresh battery. It's made of some ribstop nylon, elastic cable and paperclips for the ty downs. |

Re: From D90 to D110 pickup Hi Natedog, the wheelbase is 330mm. The axles are shortened by 12mm. Jah I hope to make some pictures in Belgium. Last time I forgot to take any ;-), just to busy driving and chatting. Tomorow there will be 253 drivers . |
