Default Ecx barrage cuting out? Esc?

My sons ecx barrage has been a great rig. I let him run a 2s and its been fine for about 2 months. Now after driving for 5 mins it will cut out and only steer. Once turning off the ecs and then back on we can get another 5 mins out of it. Is this do to the esc being over powerd by the 2s and some kind fail safe comes on?

I have not checked that. But i will today. We did have a bit of long grass spool up on the in the inside of the front wheels then the problem accrued after we cleaned them out. Are u recommending a burnt out motor? Id much rather replace that then a esc lol

Its a know problem at least in the rtr version 1 barrages. Its geared to high from the factory. I made an upgrade bible for the barrage the thread is in the general scale section. Lots of info and still adding stuff to it.
