| RC4WD R3 Transmission
Looking at building a 1.9 rig and I’m looking at transmission options. I want something with the motor mounted up front. With a transfer case of some sort. Kind of leaning towards an RC4WD r3 single speed. However I was wondering if anyone had experience with them. I have a roc412/MMP and currently run it on 3s in my current truck. Will their transmissions and t-cases hold up in what will prob be a pretty heavy truck.

The 2 speed version have worked fine for me in the TF2. I an leaning towards the SSD transmission now for me SCX 10 II https://www.rpphobby.com/product_p/ssd00123.htm There are a few making similar transmissions as the SSD one. |

I as well have had a couple 2-speed versions one brushed and one brushless. I disassembled, cleaned, relubed with better grease before use (I do this with everything that comes pre-assembled). Things that bugged me were that the main case pieces didn't key into one another and I had to assemble them loose/snug and line things up by feel before tightening the hardware. Second thing, the main motor support used counter sunk screws, the one I had a brushless in, the support broke where the c/s screws were. I made a new one and used button head screws instead and never had a problem after that. Gears were fine.
