Ultra 4 KOH TJ Buggy I started building this chassis a few years ago, shortly after I got burnt out with everything r/c, sold a bunch of stuff, and put the rest in 'storage'. Well, I've got the itch again, and my big motivation for this is, I want to finish it so I can order a tf2 and 4runner body and build that, it also performs really well so I'm excited to get it on the rocks. Diving into it 8) Some specs: -Handbuilt chassis -AX10 Trans to tcase -Rc4wd Black Widow front axle -SSD Diamond rear stripped raw -MIP shafts -China ebay shocks with Rc4wd King piggy backs -China ebay wheels wrapped with R35 Krawler t/a -China tcase -Pro4 3300kv/MMP/5955tg Right now you'll see a 2 speed tcase in there, I've got a single speed on the way. The 2 speed has a lot of 'roll slop' that I don't like and it will be easier to build the interior around a single speed. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/T5...=w1292-h970-no https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/eG...=w1292-h970-no https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/Oh...=w1292-h970-no https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/o4...=w1292-h970-no I'm kinda digging this TJ front clip, we'll see. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/gu...=w1292-h970-no https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/Wa...=w1292-h970-no |

Re: Ultra 4 Buggy Progress! I decided to stick with the TJ front clip. I trimmed it up a bit, cut out the factory 'headlights', turned down some axial light buckets, and now have headlights. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/_d...=w1292-h970-no After looking at these pics, I'm unsure about my angled cut on the rear panel. To be continued.... https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/6W...=w1292-h970-no I decided to add a fuel filler, you can also see the radiator housing I built: https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/o3...=w1292-h970-no Whiddled some styrene and made a fuel tank with the help of some old pro line scale bits I had lying around: https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/4M...=w1292-h970-no https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/xu...=w1292-h970-no This is how I get the body panels to form a curve: https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/kz...=w1292-h970-no Until next time "thumbsup" https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/dl...=w1292-h970-no |
