Re: •Project Lo-Do• What a great project dezfan ! I love these kinds of stories, they make for memorable threads. Because you asked, I like the style of the top cage. That said the bottom one might look a whole lot better with the spare mounted. It seems designed to complement it. |
Re: •Project Lo-Do• Dude that looks awesome! Amazes me what can be done on a budget when you start hunting round!! If I had a 3d printer would print you few scale bits for the rear! I think cross rc cage looks better than the injora! It's the big chunk of plastic in middle of injora one that puts me off!! Cross one looks more realistic!! Can't wait to see some more! Really hope this little dude likes his truck!! Sent from my ONEPLUS A6003 using Tapatalk |
Re: •Project Lo-Do• I like the the cross rc one better as well. Been lookin at gettin the chevy c10 body n the cross rc cage n mate them together. Think it would look cool with the bed sides around the cage. Then use the excess lexan to inclose the open areas for a drop bed inisde the cage Sent from my SM-J327VPP using Tapatalk |

Re: •Project Lo-Do• Looking good dez! Lo-Do coming together nicely! I really like that Cross-RC cage. It should look great on that body as long as the roll bar lines up with the cab fairly close. It's a great price too! I think I may pick one up for my Enduro. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk |
Re: •Project Lo-Do• I like the top cage Dez, buy it !!! I actually want someone to get it and review it because I'm thinking of putting it on a TF2. Haha. |

🤣 Since I have a NIB ESC, a new set of 1.9 wheels, and a servo waiting on my Capra to arrive, I figured I could dip into that budget for the cage. The Cross cage has been ordered.👍🏼 |
Re: •Project Lo-Do• Can't wait !! Will you give some measurements when you get it lmao. |
Re: •Project Lo-Do• Quote:
For sure."thumbsup" |
Re: •Project Lo-Do• Quote:
Looks like the Injora cage has a lower departure angle where the spare hangs down. Cross cage is better. |
Re: •Project Lo-Do• Well Lo-Do is a roller. Got all the electronics installed, set up, and rolled it around on the bench. The little “knock off” 1060 was very easy to set up. Set my end points and got some descent steering out of the Injora axle. <a href="https://ibb.co/NYPhF4W"><img src="https://i.ibb.co/tCtfHdY/715-ACF41-3-F05-4-AE8-B065-A2-D8-FBC0081-C.jpg" alt="715-ACF41-3-F05-4-AE8-B065-A2-D8-FBC0081-C" border="0"></a> <a href="https://ibb.co/ygvR15c"><img src="https://i.ibb.co/qmqnf93/3-EEFA850-B563-4-A58-BD03-4-A3-D00812757.jpg" alt="3-EEFA850-B563-4-A58-BD03-4-A3-D00812757" border="0"></a> The drive train is really quiet. I’m pleasantly surprised. Finished glueing up the front tires. I also trimmed a little more off the front bumper. Basically I cut it to the bottom of the front grill to get the body as low as possible with the included bumper on the Injora chassis. <a href="https://ibb.co/tL4mhL4"><img src="https://i.ibb.co/kmxHymx/3-AB3-A2-CE-9-B2-D-4-A59-8-E59-FECE26-D5523-E.jpg" alt="3-AB3-A2-CE-9-B2-D-4-A59-8-E59-FECE26-D5523-E" border="0"></a> Axial body post won’t work as the Injora shock towers have flats molded on two sides. <a href="https://ibb.co/zV5jW9N"><img src="https://i.ibb.co/gZ7Hbq6/9-AEE85-D0-2213-4-BE1-A771-369389216809.jpg" alt="9-AEE85-D0-2213-4-BE1-A771-369389216809" border="0"></a> I either need to order the Injora body posts, or rig up something on my own. I’ll see what I have floating around the shop. |
Re: •Project Lo-Do• Can you just run a drill bit down that body post hole? |
Re: •Project Lo-Do• Quote:
I thought about just running some Axial body post on my belt sander to create flats, but drilling the towers out would probably be easier. |
Re: •Project Lo-Do• Hmmm I tried to drill some plastic holes out like that before ended up shattering the plastic!! Think I would grind them off!! Unless you can hold them in place an use a pillar drill nice an slow! Sent from my ONEPLUS A6003 using Tapatalk |
Re: •Project Lo-Do• You scared me there, I'm putting one of these together and just the other day I ordered axial body posts. They've just arrived and they seem to fit fine, including the big Y shaped post. They are AX80031 |
Re: •Project Lo-Do• I think the OG body post have the flat sides n the new post are round. I had to order some for my monster truck build that was flat sided Sent from my SM-J327VPP using Tapatalk |

Re: •Project Lo-Do• Quote:
I used dime sized patches of Velcro before. Or maybe a flat piece across both shock towers and use a 3” strip of Velcro. Similar to the Wraith hood mod. |

Re: •Project Lo-Do• I couldn’t stand it!🤣 Had to see what the 4.19 inch Nottsix ChooDoos looked like on Lo-Do. I think I like the smaller tires with this body? But it’s not gonna happen.:ror: <a href="https://ibb.co/GF8wX3m"><img src="https://i.ibb.co/kMwnp6Z/0-B804364-E1-F1-46-B6-8-F17-DCC99-FCA1023.jpg" alt="0-B804364-E1-F1-46-B6-8-F17-DCC99-FCA1023" border="0"></a> <a href="https://ibb.co/NSMwCmR"><img src="https://i.ibb.co/16kHQdc/7344-B2-A0-9-C70-4-CFD-AA62-5-ABF67-B7-CE7-C.jpg" alt="7344-B2-A0-9-C70-4-CFD-AA62-5-ABF67-B7-CE7-C" border="0"></a> |

Re: •Project Lo-Do• That's going to look good all mounted up. |
Re: •Project Lo-Do• Oh, I like that! It fits the body nice. I think I like it better than the Honcho and the Proline cage. I’m gonna have to pick one of these up! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |
Re: •Project Lo-Do• That looks good dez! Tire fits nicely down inside the cage too. I agree b-mow, it looks better than either of the other cages. Ive been wantin to get the chevy c10 2 piece body for my father in law n cut the bed for the cage to fit inside it Sent from my SM-J327VPP using Tapatalk |

Thanks to everyone that encouraged me to get it. Very easy to put together and even after trimming a portion of the cage, it still remains rigid! So I had to space the shock tower out a bit to allow the cage to fit between them. No biggy, I dug into hardware stash and come up with a (2) 3x25 stainless button head bolts, (4) 3x16 stainless button head bolts, and (6) 5x5 Nylon spacers. https://i.ibb.co/85wrcGx/1520-B991-B...BEF4-C5677.jpg The 3x16 and two of the spacers where used to space the towers out. The 3x25 and the other spacer where used to space the shock out. The longer 25mm bolt was required as it retains both the shock and the rear portion of the lower link. https://i.ibb.co/Xz9X9pC/0990-D6-EF-...A796188750.jpg Now that the cage fits between the towers, the lower front portion of the cage was hitting the transmission on the Injora chassis. A couple quick zips with the Dremel and the offending sections where eliminated. https://i.ibb.co/wC9pMw8/8358508-B-7...C74-E99752.jpg Now that these sections where removed, the cage slipped right into place. https://i.ibb.co/tpWwvTQ/3-E61314-F-...-E29-AD3-B.jpg https://i.ibb.co/82QwYB7/A253780-C-3...77-A4775-F.jpg I’m going to relocate the spare tire and the fuel cell as pictured. I think it looks awesome! I might shorten the wheelbase a bit and lop off an inch or inch and a half of the rear portion of the frame as well? Thoughts? That’s how it sets at the moment. |

Re: •Project Lo-Do• I like it. Would probably look better with the lil shorter WB n the chassis even with the cage Sent from my SM-J327VPP using Tapatalk |
Re: •Project Lo-Do• Quote:
But I’m not sure how much, if at all I can move it back do to cage and transmission alignment? I’ll play with it and see what I can come up with. 👍🏼 |
Re: •Project Lo-Do• Shorten the wb some and trim the back side of the frame to the cage and you will be golden. Looks great. |
