Re: Custom flat rail C2 build, '35 hot rod truck Great looking Frame, She Looks FireFly Class. Body is gonna look great on it. |
Re: Custom flat rail C2 build, '35 hot rod truck Thanks bud! I usually build off of steel chassis so this is different for me but I'm loving it so far!! |
Re: Custom flat rail C2 build, '35 hot rod truck 10 Attachment(s) I love these shocks but the collars are dumb!!!! I used some cut down super light Traxxas springs Found a piece of aluminum I modified for panhard mount on chassis I've been using SDI driveshafts for years and love their durability and compact size. Also had to use risers in the rear to adjust for the geometry offered by the rear F10 portal |
Re: Custom flat rail C2 build, '35 hot rod truck Oh, shit... Looks like the first use of this body in a custom crawler is going to be a dream build! Damn, it's breathtaking - LOVE that set of rails - so perfectly chosen to go with the body (or is that the other way around?) "thumbsup" |
Re: Custom flat rail C2 build, '35 hot rod truck Thanks mister "thumbsup" |
Re: Custom flat rail C2 build, '35 hot rod truck Very sleek chassis and accessories to boot. The use of VP steering arms should keep that rear end planted. Nice build sir. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Re: Custom flat rail C2 build, '35 hot rod truck I actually came back to drool over this build some more... ;-) I wouldn't even try to be humble about this one - I'm thinkin' RC equivalent of a Ridler or GoodGuys award winner, or at least somethin' to be shown at SEMA. Oh - I hope I'm not putting too much pressure on ya? :lmao: |
Re: Custom flat rail C2 build, '35 hot rod truck Looks awesome as always! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Re: Custom flat rail C2 build, '35 hot rod truck 2 Attachment(s) Body is painted internally with all Tamiya poly paints, and then externally with Tamiya Flat clear I love the matte/flat appearance on the poly body!!! Here is a couple pics of my ol Power Wagon with flat clear! |
Re: Custom flat rail C2 build, '35 hot rod truck 3 Attachment(s) Internal layers in with no flat clear |
Re: Custom flat rail C2 build, '35 hot rod truck 7 Attachment(s) With some flat clear.... Much better |

Re: Custom flat rail C2 build, '35 hot rod truck Power wagon is beautiful! Hot Rod is too! I'm a paint on the inside and flat clear on the outside fan myself. My last few rigs were all done that way as well. |

Re: Custom flat rail C2 build, '35 hot rod truck Hot rod turned out good, I like how you trimmed the body angled under the cab, and around the shocks up front. And the power wagon is quite possibly one of my favorite rigs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Re: Custom flat rail C2 build, '35 hot rod truck Quote:
Yes it was a bit tricky to get body to sit nice and low, had to do lots of trimming to look appropriate. The ol PW was one of my favorites as well "thumbsup" |
Re: Custom flat rail C2 build, '35 hot rod truck 3 Attachment(s) Working on some simple light stainless sliders to attach to frame and the poly slider |
Re: Custom flat rail C2 build, '35 hot rod truck 8 Attachment(s) I'm loving this rat rod body. Sliders are done, body mounted, tires on. Just need to go do some testing in sunny southern Utah one of these days.... |
Re: Custom flat rail C2 build, '35 hot rod truck It just gets better and better. Excellent choice on wheel/tire beadlock ring setup. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Re: Custom flat rail C2 build, '35 hot rod truck Great work! I had a feeling this body would make for a cool crawler body. |

Thank you, excited to get it on some sticky rock and do some tuning |
Re: Custom flat rail C2 build, '35 hot rod truck That is one gorgeous chassis. I can see why you would want to build off of it. Who sells them? I have never heard of them before. Love what you have done so far, it’s very cool. |
Re: Custom flat rail C2 build, '35 hot rod truck Quote:
Thanks, chassis is built by local buddy, I'm not on FB but I believe he sells them on there, he own a company called BOC his name is Ryan Kendrick, you should be able to find him there.. "thumbsup" |
Re: Custom flat rail C2 build, '35 hot rod truck Man those colors turned out the part. Build is very aggressive. I enjoy all the DPD details. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Thanks ol buddy very kind!! I'm loving that 4 door Wrangler your customizing looks pretty trick so far "thumbsup" |
Re: Custom flat rail C2 build, '35 hot rod truck Badass! What wheelbase are you running? I've got some 11.4 links on the way for a f350 hardbody, but I might steal this body idea to keep the weight down. |
Re: Custom flat rail C2 build, '35 hot rod truck Yep, this turned out pretty awesome! "thumbsup" |
