Default 58 VW Double Cab

So my last clod bodied 1.9er was pretty capable but I just didnt get excited about drivin it like the Dub Tuber, So I found this Samba bus that I had to have, however hittin the trails in a "van" wasnt really doin it for me. Im about 3/4 through with the build and as popular as my VW Tuber has been on here I should probably post this build over here for everyone to enjoy as well.

I found this one on EBay, prolly paid more for it than i should have but I saw the potential and I had to have it, oh and Im a VW nut so any of the mainstream kinda bodies that people use werent didnt get me excited, I hocked the clod body that I was usin to Stu's fleet so he would have somethin to beat on with the NOSTR winter indoor series!

Anyway i have put alot of work into the body to get it to where its at now.

oh and a shout out to Microgoat!

DAAAAAAAM! THATS SICK!

I have to show this to my bro. He had a 59 single cab all through highschool. He will LOVE this. He's a NUT when it comes to old V Dubs. His current ride is a 61 rag top trailer queen that only see's daylight at the show

Nice body work Nat. Looks like you may give Stu a run for his money!

I like how you added the engine detail in there! The roof detail line looks great. That must have been a bear!

Honestly,I'd leave the bed alone. If you want a spare, cut a wheel and tire in half and mount the outer half down flat.

Yeah its a R2 Disco, Its all i had layin around so itll do for now.

I think the spare is just gonna go up in the bed,

It will get some tube work however. Tube rear bumper over the wheel wells to a some rock sliders down the rocker panels over the front wheel wells and into a original style hurst bumper. itll definately get a roof rack and an enclosed canvas bed.
