Definitely! I'll bring this and a 2.2. I'm off to work in Florida for a couple weeks now, but some time this spring I'll plan a couple days work in Roanoke and let you know when I'll be there.

I wanted to get the headlights at least mounted up before I leave for work for two weeks, so I escaped to the basement for a little while this morning...

To hold them securely, I just chopped a piece of 1/2" x 1/8" aluminum bar, reamed a couple holes in the fenders, stuck the lights through the fenders, and bolted them to the aluminum bar. I will secure the bar to the body (hot glue most likely) and velcro the battery under the hood. The aluminum bar will also act as my front body mount, attached with velcro the to top of my servos.

I took it out and ran it very briefly. Also snapped a couple poser shots on my mini-course in the corner of my backyard...

Such an awsome build! I e to say it but I would love to see a second body that is in olive drab with military markings! way to cool man. "thumbsup""thumbsup"

Awesome man just awesome! I had no idea bolink made such a nice powerwagon. I always wanted one but didn't feel like hacking up a proline for the single cab. I'm getting one very soon!
I really like the red you picked! I'm not really a red guy (blue rules) but damn it looks super nice. Nice work on the frame too.

razor rc 01-15-2008 05:54 PM

i think you should fill in the area inbetween the bed and cab. so when you flex you dont see these big open holes.

but over all man that thing looks killer.

Someone mentioned the single leaf setup like corvette's used to run in the rear to return the frame to being srtaight,my thought was that mounted to a servo, you could rotate the servo to apply pressure to tires by forcing the frame to flex when needed?

OlYelr 02-04-2008 01:31 PM

Okay, I'm finally home from a lot of work travel and a ski trip, so here's the latest:

My Hummer wheels finally came in, so I got those mounted up: "thumbsup"

I also got the Novak Rooster Crawler ESC installed, along with some caps on the motor. I'm not real happy with the placement of everything, but this body is small, and with the High-Lift drivetrain and swivel frame, room has disappeared fast.

I've got a few more goodies on their way in the mail now, and should have some time to work on it over the next week, so I'll keep you posted.

Looks great man I wish i had the time and money to attempt somthing of that nature sweet truck!!

STANG KILLA SS 02-04-2008 03:24 PM

grind the stand offs to the lights so there only 1/16" tall, would look much better cause it would bring the lights closer to the fenders, on those RAMs there glued to the billet housing, just gotta break that loose. some are really on there.......

Well, here's the results of today's project.
I decided that I really like the look of a Power Wagon with wooden bedsides, so I built me some.
I just bought a sheet of 3" x 1/8" x 36" balsa wood, cut out the sizes of "boards" I wanted, and glued everything together. Then I picked a nice oak stain color I liked from my my selection, and stained it. It's actually quite strong, but very light. I'm not so sure it will survive a hard rollover, but... we'll cross that bridge when we get to it.

Stormin2u 02-06-2008 06:22 PM

You have done a nice build up on this project and it has a lot of quality in every step of this great concept.

Jester666 02-06-2008 06:47 PM

"thumbsup"looks great, keep up the good work "thumbsup"

OlYelr 02-06-2008 08:02 PM

After seeing it mounted on the truck, I decided it was missing two boards, on either side of the back window. So, I added them. I think it looks much better now:
