Project: Fusion-X (Update May 6th/07) Well after seeing all the awesome tube chassis's out there I decided to build my own! I was really inspired by Bluetorch Fabworks fusion chassis, so I emailed Dan and asked permission to build a replica. I was also inspired by Badhoopty's Rockcock Hulkwerks chassis. After that I got to work. It is built out of 3/16's solid rod. This isn't a comp. rig so weight isn't an issue. What it is, is a full on abuse vehicle so strength is key. I want to use this as a tool to get some of my friends into crawling so I'm going to beat the hell out of it once its done. Please give me some feedback sorry the pics aren't the greatest. This will probably be a slow build cause I work insane hours so time is hard to come by. looking good so far |
I cant wait to see this beast finished.Good work man. |
Sweet! Good looking joints and symmetrical bends. I like the design also. Comp rig, basher, whatever it is.... Durability is always number 1! Can't win a comp if ya break... |
Looking good so far......i like your jig to hold it together while you braze ;-) |
Very clean lookin...... Takes a little time to make em look good dont it. |
Thanx for all the kind remarks and comments fellas! Yes it takes so much time to make sure its all symmetrical. I give props to the guys who can build these so fast! Man you should see some of the jigs I've come up with. I should be a scientist for the acme rocket company. LOL Mike |
Lookin' good so far. I've gotten into the habit of tacking the parts together with the MIG before I braze. Keeps me from wasting alloy. |
Looks good so far. nice work ;-) |

Outstanding work so far, looks very very nice. I probably say this on every tuber project I post in..............wish I could do stuff like that  I can do just about anything with a chunk of aluminum, Delrin, steel, stainless or whatever. However when it comes to bending tubes to make something like......huh uh! Can't wait to see more progress. |
Thanx alot for the compliments. Bill I made need a one off piece made if I do I'll email you to see if its possible. Thanx Mike |

As always feedback is welcome! Mike |
lookin good. but damn that hood is long! |
Frkan thanx for the reply. I think I am getting some funky picture effect. Although the front is long compared to the back. Check out this pic! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...Bluetorch1.jpg As you can see once I put the wheel wells in it will start to look much more proportioned. Mike |
That is some impressive tube work! Cant wait to see the finished product. |
