Talking my first scaler

will be a Hilux

i use these frame rails

welded them together to be sure both have the angle after i bent them




i will use a Tamiya silver can with HPI reduction unit and AX10 tranny as transfer

the tranny mount

Nice frame! I just ordered a hpi gear reduction which I'm gonna be using with a t case too. If i can't make a good enough t case then I'm gonna problbly use the ax10 case. I'm building a buggy in the 1.9 forum right now and I'm working with limited space

Can't wait to see what YOUR scaler will look like....it's gotta be good. I love some of the stuff you come up with. Good job so far, I like your use of steel, looks like it's not going to be a lightweight.

the frame rails are 400 gramm
i think a little more weight is not so bad for a leaf spring truck
i like to weld all the mounts instead of all the drilling and bolt on

wish i had a welder i would love to start another build. my next build will more of a piece everything to make something kinda build...looks great cant wait for updates
