| Jeeruggy, A TTC Rig...(Dubbed Tombstone by the locals)
For lack of a better name, Jeeruggy. My TTC Jeep Truggy. Picked this little gem up from J-Fab. Some of you may remember it. If not here's a pic stolen from Axials site... Pics of how it came to me...poor thing needs some lovin' ... I don't plan on getting it all dolled up. Specifically being built to take a beating and come back for more. Here are some specs I'm shooting for. Some stuff I have & some are needed bad. Wraxles (can you say beef!) (Built for me by Szczerba ); Front: RCP SS Locker, Axial HD gears, Long Beef Tubes, VP XR10 Chubs, VP Wraith Knuckles, XR10 Universals & HandBros CMS Panhard Mount. Rear: RCP SS Locker, Underdrive gears, Long Beef Tubes, STRC Lockouts, Wheely King rear axles & DMG V1 4 link Truss. Axial Tranny; HR Al. Housing, RR Steel Gears, 1 piece output, Gen3 slipper & SuperShafty Top Shaft. Hitec HSR-5995TG Servo. CC Mamba Max Pro. Tekin 3300kv Pro4 BL Motor. CC BEC. MIP Shafts. 2 3Racing Winches, front is inboard. Gmade TS01 Scale Shocks. Wheel Works 887 Beadlocks. RC4WD 2.2 IROKS. Shooting for a WB around 13". On to some pics of the progress... Hum........... Servo, winch and line guide tube installed... More to come, very shortly Last edited by Robotboy; 05-31-2012 at 10:15 AM. |

Got the beef some sweet axles! Quickly installed to check 'em out on the rig... Rear... Front... Still have to come up with some steering links, get the shocks on, etc. I want it sittin' a little lower. Here's where we be now. Whatcha think? Back to work, back to work... I've been spying on your buggy and Richs' too. Both look to be a blast! This is strictly going to be an "abuse-a-rig". And fast I can't wait to have the green for the power. OG body is RJ Speed Jeep Pickup. They are still available. I was going to pick one up but decided just to refurbish the old one. After all, I'm just gonna beat it Last edited by Robotboy; 03-17-2012 at 09:09 AM. | |

Alright, got the steering worked out. Cut down a RC4WD steering link for the wraith. Had to drill & tap the ends afterwards because it's a solid rod. Can you say behind the wraxle? Worked out perfectly. Panhard setup, no bump-steer, The Gmade shocks showed up as well. Now how's she sittin'... Sneak-peek at the refurbished body... A little more done. This is my first real go at styrene so be gentle. Pulled my hair out trying to figure where to put a decent size battery. Not wanting to have all that weight in the a$$, I came up with this. Battery will slide in from the rear, sit down in the chassis and counterweight the motor. It's also water resistant once the interior deck is screwed on. Interior went pretty quick. Sorry I didn't slow to take progress pics. I went real simple and not too much detail. You can't see it too well with the lid on. The side windows are tinted so it actually looks pretty good. I think Made a slide on cover for the battery compartment. Used the Axial gun racks on it. Probably use them for a shovel & ax or jack. Whipped up some fender wells as well. Scale points are good Beefed up my tranny a little and some goodies showed up. Waiting on some bullets, then I should be close, real close When did Castle stop giving you motor bullets with their ESC's? Geez... |

Best shot of it IMO, is from the side. Looks like it will eat rocks for breakfast. If it ever gets a chance. JK |

Now I have power envy.... Arocknid will have to wait until xmas for the 3300KV version and an MMP. Which KV t4 is that? Do you plan to run 2s or 3s? Keep up the great work Bob |
