Definitley unique. The lower shock link mounts took me 2 hours to make. Tack welded to the Dinky R/C link mounts. Finish weld them tonight and start on chassis shock mounts.

Thanks guys. mojave450rider laid down some nice lines on this chassis.
Pics from mock up the other day. Probably wont get to work on this until the weekend. Wildfire season is starting around these parts.

Looks agressive! I like the lines on the chassis and on the skins.

Szczerba 03-15-2013 09:20 PM

Thanks guys.
Full bump mock up. Link geometry needs fixed. Shocks in rough locations.

Will work on new upper link mounts for the chassis and the shock mounts tomorrow. Just gotta stare at it long enough.

nice score!

So you are saying that the wheels are the nicest thing on this rig? :ror:

Got them a few months ago. I am keeping them, just not sure if they will stay on this rig or not.

I thought the new 2.2 pit bulls were too tall for most rigs. They kinda scale out on this chassis? Not made up my mind yet.

Thanks guys. I am going to try and get alot of the work done on it tomorrow. Since I welded the lower link/dual shock mounts to the Dinky R/C 4 links, I am stuck with the upper link position now. If I want this chassis to ride low, I am going to have to design new upper link mounts at the chassis/skid side. I'll figure it all out this weekend.

Also, I have an Exo IFS sitting on the bench now. "thumbsup"
I am going to use the solid front axle for now but the IFS might find it's way under this rig too.

Szczerba 03-24-2013 04:38 PM

Made new chassis upper link mounts for more adjustability.
Added more bracing on the chassis.
Finished welding shock/lower link mounts to Dinky RC upper link plate.
Left to do:
Interior, electronics mounting, lights and paint.

Yes sir. The Parma Hemi should fit between the seat and fuel cell with a little bit of dremel work and custom motor mounts.

This build seems like something you would come up with. Kinda out of the ordinary but still super cool. I like it anyways :ror:
I won't be able to match your scale detail level though!

I am about 50/50 on scale and performance. Just don't look too long at any one part :ror:. I worked 6-8 hours to get the new upper link chassis mounts setup. Alot more adjustibility for upper links at the chassis now.

thanks. thinking lime green chassis with black panels. Not sure yet.

Hemi was here when i got back from wheeling. It will fit behind the seat and fuel tank/radiator.

iPhone Videos. Rig is a little bouncy with no shock oil right now.

Put em on 720p first
