4Runner Island Style
 

Heres a little something ive been working on in between projects...Worked out a deal with 1BadJeepBruiser and got this chassis and body..Mahalo Mike!...Alittle work and voila!!..More plans to come for her...Roof rack, spare, and other scale deatails..here she is on her first outing!...More pics soon!!...ENJOY!!..I did!

Wish I'd been into RC when I was stationed over there. What rims are you running and how narrow are they? I think thats the narrowest I've ever seen swamp dogs run on, and I like it.

They are actually Kyosho 1.9 touring wheels with the inner bead cut off. Its about and inch wide...If you look at my Crawler Hauler thats the wheels and tires thats on here now...Just added some Run2jeepn rockslider rock rings!!!...I really like the look of the narrowed swamps too!!!

It really does looks real from the right angles"thumbsup" One things for sure, I am going to miss that exo cage :-( That was my 1st attempt at any tube work and it came out pretty damn good... well at least strong!! That thing had saved my red fo runna many of times :twisted: Im am glade you are happy with it and that it went to a good home! Hopefully the parents let me use one of thier time shares out there some day and we can all get together 8)

I got to ask, what body is that? I'm assuming Kyosho, but please confirm. Is it a hard plastic or Lexan?

Your assumtion is correct!..it is the Kyosho 4runner with an SAS!..The body is made from lexan.

Aloha, this is Jeff "1BADJEEPBRUISER's" Stepdad, i helped out with the exocage. Nice to see it in Hawaii! My Dad lives there on Kauai. I will be there next Sept. for a couple of weeks. Last time we were there, we hooked up with some guys on Kauai that were dirt racing behind the golfcourse in Lahuie close to the airport. What island are you on? Smokin...Ethnic is a friends clothing line so i thought id represent for him!!..Mahalo for the props...As for Sunday..Im not as ready as i wish i was...Still havent figured out exactly how to dial in the DX3 to my TXT..I think i got the 2.2 down but having difficulties with the supah...Still trying!!...

Damn dude, this thing keeps getting better and better. The new wheels looks GREAT.

I run BLKFT stubbies on mine, it gives it just the right width...The tires would tuck better with out them, but as Im sure you discovered, the only draw back with this thing is the COG and it can be top heavy so having the lil bit extra width makes a huge difference , here is the best stance shot I have of mine
