| Anybody want to see one more JK??? 56k warning
I haven't been on here for sometime as I got cought up in them damn rc boats.. But thanks to Chip Cross inviting me to go check out a possible new local crawl spot it relit my crawlin fire!! Thanks buddy Now I love my 2.2 ax-10 comp rig but I was lucky enough to get another ax-10 from a friend of mine and I didn't know what to do with it, I started to sell it but what fun is that? So Chip has been busting my chops to try out this Scale thing. Not feeling the 1.9 class I thought I'd try to make one out of the ax-10. After checking out these 2.2 scale forms I spoted what seemed to be the best way to get into the scale world!! Specs.... Tcs x-trail chassis kit (waiting for it to show up anyday now) ax-10 axles (all stock I think) integgy 55t (for now might go for something faster) CC sidewinder esc (might go far the xl-5 waterproof) Hi-tec 645mg (might go for the waterproof traxxas) Losi rock claws (think I want them mud slingers) new bright 4dr JK (will get many scale mods!!) So now out with the talk and on to some pics..... NIB New bright JK No bumbers Body off thats looking better Paint time trying to get it right best I can do HUMM fake leather Stone Cold FUN Last edited by blackcatnastang; 01-08-2009 at 11:29 PM. |

OMG!!! Another JK! Just Kidding? They do look pretty sweet though. I like the custom paint on your interior. Are you planning on lengthening your wheelbase? It looks a little funny on your stock ax-10. Keep us posted.

| Update!!
Ok so I've been working on the JK alittle bit everyday, Man I tell you doing this for the frist time I've been alittle tinative so its been more like Look. Look, Look alittle more do something and then yeap Look some more!!! None the less here is where I have gottin it so far...... X-trail chassis showed up !!!! Lets get started After having to make afew links (man this about killed my brain!) I have a roller Body just sitting on for a look at the ride hight Think its just a bit to TALL!! Flex shot Flex shot rear So after seeing and not likeing the ride hight I thought I'd give the droop setup a try. Here is a belly shot (and you can see the front elect. plate/front body mount) Front body mount Rear body mount New ride hight with droop and body mounted. Front shot Rear shot Front Flex Rear Flex So up next will be to make the rear driveshaft longer, Steal some waterproof parts from my brushless slash!!, Mount all elects, Then on to making some rock sliders, a stinger front bumber and something around the back bumber also. If and when I get all that done I'll post more pics and then maybe blow it all apart for a new paint job. Oh yea I need to find a way to hide that white plastic stuff.........Hummmmm.... my brain is about to hurt again................... I'm really starting to like this Scale stuff |

Long overdue update... I got everything up and running sometime ago As it sits the JK is running a hitec 645mg servo, waterproof xl5 esc, axil 27t motor and I've run this on a 4200 7cell nmih it was fun to build, but for me since its not as capable as my comp rig it just isnt as fun to me and while its fast, I just don't play with it anymore. See I went out and bought me a real jeep an 85 CJ7 and now this JK is up for sell to fund the big jeep so make me an offer as to what you would pay for how you want it.. ie,, roller, no elect, or ready to run...... No radio or recever will come with it....... And I'll be posting it in the For Sell also..... |
