Default Getting Back In

After being gone for quite some time, I think it is time I got back into crawling. I still remember when it was more popular to make your own chassis than to buy one.
I am trying to get back in with mostly stock scorpion parts on a planned bmv chassis. Which class should I shoot for? I have heard about sportsman class, but I have a dig and I like it. (unless 2.2 competition has gotten really intense)

Are there any guys in the southeast who do formula off-road?

Edit;
6 days and no reply. Is rock crawling in AL dead?

I don't think it's dead - I know for me I just haven't had much time to do anything lately with a 6 year old in baseball and karate. We had a comp at Moss Rock in Hoover a few weeks ago.
