Default Intro from Chandler

A couple weeks ago my rock crawling buddies bailed on the 2nd trip in two weeks... Leaving me with my gear packed, a loaded truck/trailer in front of my house and the itch to go wheelin'... So I unloaded everything (while talking trash about them to myself of course ), thought about alternative ways to scratch the itch and bought a LCC . Anyways, just wanted to introduce myself. Last of the parts should be showing up in a few days. Solder here, zip-tie there and time to learn a new driving style.

I'm kind of interested in the comps and curious as to how they're classed. Is there a "Haven't Held a RC Remote Since 1988 Shafty Class"?

Welcome! I'm not into the comp scene myself anymore but was in the past and they are a good group of folks and willing to help out noobs however they can.
There is also a pretty good sized group that is into the scale scene including myself and there are GTG's quite often.

A friend of mine from work who is also into the 1:1 scene just told me about a couple buddies who just bought LCC's, you wouldn't happen to know Courtney?

Good info. I've met a Courtney that wheels a well worked over Jeep XJ. Mostly I run the 5.0+ trails, so the groups are smaller and limited to full tube chassis buggies with experienced drivers (otherwise a few hour trail ride turns into a 2 day extraction effort, LOL).

I'm wrapped up this Sunday with the 1:1, but I think I'll try to make the Falcon Hill event. That'll give me a little time to work the bugs out and horse around a bit.
