Default Visiting Apache Junction from Canada, looking to meet up and go crawling.

Hello All
I am leaving the cold and wet climate of Canada to visit my parents in Apache Junction from Feb 20th to March 4th. Im brining my crawler (SCX10 Honcho) with me and hoping to meet up with some of the local rc crawlers and go crawling! Id love to know what surrounding areas are good for crawling as well as meet up with some of the locals and hit the trail. I tried looking for an Arizona facebook group but couldn't really find anything. If there is an RC Crawling group or people that regularly go crawling please add me to your list on facebook so we can coordinate some crawling adventures, Dallas Root
Thanks and I cant wait to crawl the desert!

There are 3 crawling places out in AJ on sr88 on the way to canyon lake. They are mini Moab, power lines, and badlands. Check the east valley map post in AZ group. Myself and 2 to other guys go on most Sunday mornings

There are great trails in the Superstition Mountains park. It's nice now that its not so hot yet to R/C, mountain bike, hike...

What is the area south of US60 before Superior/east of Florence? I wheeled out there while working on US60.

Looks like you're in Box Canyon in the last pic. We call that area Florence Jct., there are quite a few 1:1 trails out there. Most of it is state trust land. We generally don't do any RC out there because of the commute and state trust permits.

Nice Yota BTW

Droot come out to the scale comp on Sunday and run with us it's a great time and a good group of guys. Also there is a good chance that there will be a trail run after the comp.

just follow the signs for canyon lake once on sr88 go past first water trailhead road, look for the needle view vista turn off and go into the parking lot mini moab is across the hiway. walk north from the parking lot to the wash and walk the wash thru the tunnel or take the hi line and walk across the hiway either way look for the red rocks

Tell me about it, I have two sets of sliders half built and a cage and a half all strewn about on my bench. Need to git-r done already.

Yeah Kevin, especially with scale nats coming and Erin teasing with a possibility of a G6 before may.

Hate ordering stuff I can make but I may have to on some things just for time sake.
I probably won't make a G6 before May. I just don't have the time and not sure the ford is up to it.
