Default NWARC July 24th Comp Results

Cool New Crawl Spot! Thank you Ricky for discovering the place, Boone for scouting and finding the comp area, and Dustin for being event coordinator.

I think it is unanimous that everyone liked the new Crystal Lake crawl spot near Decatur, Arkansas. It's shaded, very easy to get to, and has cool terrain. The terrain and rock very similar to Broken Dam (south of Siloam Springs), but the crevices, crags, canyons and climbs are twice as big. I do think we all got a bit excited by the new spot when we built the courses, as they may have been a bit too challenging overall. But all the courses were finished by at least one driver. We'll tone down the course difficulty a bit next time. Or at least make gate #1 doable for everyone.....

Only 12 points separated 4 spots. Except for Ricky, I think we all broke something . That's a sign of a good crawl spot.......

2.2 (40 points, 7 minutes)
1. Mike Manning53 (22, -1, 8, 24)
2. RockedupRicky 74 (-12, 32, 26, 2
3. Spencer 120 (26, 26, 38, 30)
4. Psychocrawler John 130 (26, 34, 40, 30)
5. Dustin Keeler 130 (22, 34, 38, 36)
6. Boone 132 (28, 34, 40, 30)

Buddy was the only sportsman competitor (60 points, 8 minutes), he was the only person to finish course #4. Way to go Buddy!

It was a great time and a great spot. The shade, the little brezze off the lake sometimes and rocks are crazy. I know we'll be having a few comps there for sure, with over 300ft of rock craziness.

Mike and Buddy were on their A game and I didn't break anything ,but I bent a couple things.

Here's some shots of the spot.
