Default mindless kickin it old skool CDW 1.0 Sporty

Well first off big thanks to Buckimod for the hook up on the chassis thanks buddy and sorry but this is more of a built thread than build thread, im not good at keeping track as i go

This is a chassis ive always wanted since day one and was never able to get my hands on one till now. For the past couple seasons ive been running a Mayhem chassis with great results but if you know me i can never leave well enough alone soo here we go.

Parts run down:
CDW 1.0 chassis
CS 170 servo
FXR
Integy 35t v11
Gen Ace 850 3s
Axial axles over under drive
Long beef tubes with xr knucks and Cs
Axial trans with HR aluminum gears and steel out puts
MIP Front shaft plastic rear
3.5" ebay shocks with losi mini springs

I spent about all day trying to get my electronics to fit and steering to work electronics were some how easier than the steering. Trying a BTA steering and could never get the steering angle i was after.

Ended up just going with a link mounted up front 5 mins of work and worked perfect

Shot of the steering angle i ended up with still rubs a touch on the servo but not to bad

My knock off shocks that are surprisingly smooth and come with rods ends on each side. Mini springs also fit perfect on them.

About 2.75" belly clearance at rest front droops out another half inch.

I also tried a different cut on my boss claws angle seems perfect when steering makes it seem to hook even harder.

And as always running my ugly truckling body just cant retire it just yet.

Truck weighs in at 5.3lbs and feels great there i might try knocking it down into the 4s i tried the old set up once at 4.5lbs and felt good but needed soft springs, was running losi whites all around. I think with the losi mini springs it might like it better. But for now it will be sitting at 5.3lbs till i get some tuning on it.

Hope you guys like it any questions just ask

Back the cracked and chipped white with a contrasting color like black or red, may look sweet!

eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low prices

These are the shocks they are 3.5" extended, they seem to stick after sitting but are butter smooth after not sure if its from the shock oil thats in them i never changed it just running them as is.

Also the way i have the springs in the pic doesnt work very well makes the spring compress funny so i moved them down some and seem to work good.

My big bores do that and I'm 99% sure it's the piston being a little out of shape.

Take a razor blade and deburr the piston. Probably a shitty ass plastic, or maybe they're steel.....
