Default Shock mounting?

I picked up some of the Losi crawler shock sets (they're really sweet!) and am struggling to figure out how to mount the upper end, as it doesn't have a captured ball. The kit comes with a little plastic thing, but I'd have to make a spacer or narrow the chassis to use it, and that sounds like a pain in the butt. I've heard of people using fuel tubing, but I'm having a hard time visualizing how that would work while being able to crank down the chassis braces. Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Uses the fuel tube in small pieces where the capture ball should be and a 3mm washer to hold the nut or bolt in place

I did mine something like that. This is temporary until my mini lst shocks get here but it shows you what he was talking about.

I have a set of CKRC shocks with the same non pivot end. I sanded the end off so its just a cap, drilled the center for a 3mm screw and installed a rod end left over from my axial kit for the links. I used red locktite to seal and hold. There mounted with body down and 40 wt fluid with no leaks for 6 weeks now.

Simple mod.
