Default metal tranny housing with VF dig unit........

will the VF dig work with the after market metal tranny housing avalible from GH racing.....................bob

What do you mean by half???????????

I might be needing the metal case as my trans is mounted vertically to clear the links

No it does not! I bought gh alum housing and there is just too much alum. Too bad it would look sick!

Half= only the side that does not meet/touch/mount to the vf dig will not work. This half goes untouched so that half would work!

Yes it will. You just need to modify either the case or the VF unit slightly. It is about 15 mins worth of work max. I use the Hot Racing aluminum case and a club member (Zorlac) uses the GH racing case.

If you aren't too scared to get out the Dremel then you will be fine.

Yep, like Harley said, just a little dremel/file work and it's fine. I just got done fitting my VF dig to the HotRacing case available at TCS

Not the easiest to see, as it is in the truck



I had to dremel/file both bottom corners of the VF dig unit, as well as rounding off the square mount on the tranny case. This unit in the pic below isn't modified yet, it is another dig unit.



I also had to make a notch in the tranny case vertically, for the side of the VF dig unit, as the tranny is solid across there, unlike the plastic stocker.

hey thats da way i finish my posts or replies and the 4 at the end are my sig, instead of some dumb saying i see others siggys say ....been doing it fer a long time now :-P ....never had anyone say nuttin in any other of the many forums i have been going to for years now, till i got here and one other RC forum, hmm wonder why that is but yet the spelling around here with common easy words are wrong....but no body rants on that i may spell a word or two wrong here or there, but dang reading some other posts i almost need to copy and paste them in word to spell check them to see what there saying (almost)....i even mispelled some words in this post so others feel at home ............bob
