| prototype reign rc comp chassis build!!
I got one of the new prototype comp chassis' from pinchflat at reign rc!! In agreement to getting a prototype I had to do a build thread which I have never been good with!! First of Ive got to say it a sweet chassis, and its super light weight and compact!! the current parts!! awaiting others ax10 axles w/ rcp c's and knuckles, ckrc rear lockout and ss shafts r2d tranny pictured with a ax10 because im awaiting a new skid from pinchflat ax10 shocks shortened 10mm I was going to use 4" losi units but they were to short for my taste I have 2 different electric set-ups for different conditions and terrain brushless: tcs' bm9 motor and adaptor plate mamba 25 esc elite 1500mah 8cell battery brushed: novak fifty-five motor awaiting the novak rooster crawler esc and the elite 7 cell batt. I have proline badland m3 tires sitting here!! the parts im awaiting: jp custom comp body aluminum beadlock (undesided) tcs 4 link/servo mount for the front tcs battery plates ckrc 3 link and elec. tray tcs r2d servo mount on to the pictures!! That's looking good. I like that you (and others) are taking advantage of the multiple shock mount positions. |

well more parts should be coming in tomorrow to finish the build, Id would like to thanks frankyrizzo for kinda trading for my brushless set-up that had why to much power for the r2d he got a steal I think but its worth it to me!! Id also like to thank pinchflat for letting me test this chassis I think im the only one thats going to be running an r2d in this chassis to date!! well hope to have more for you guys in the next few days if you have any question or comment please reply!!

Thats a very cool chassis. Do you know if an R2D with a cobalt puller will fit??

well with mt r2d and novak fifty-five mocked up I have about 1/8 inch before i hit the upper link mount!! you have to offset the tranny to one side to get it to fit as i have it!!

Excellent chassis design, one problem with the build. The body posts are too low on the chassis. They will get hung up on everything. Just a thought, switch the upper links with the body posts to give them a little more clearance. Or for maximum clearance, move the upper shock position down, and move the body posts to an open shock position. Otherwise great build. |

I have tc5 body post on order they bolt into the shock mount holes perfectly, Im also going to order shorter shocks most like losi 4" or something simular!! |

looks like it needs more mounting holes for the upper links..IMO but looks nice.. adjustabilty is good... |
