Default Sharper steering

Which alloy arms steering knuckles offer a sharper turning circle? Im not keen on buying a set of replacement knuckles to find they dont give any better steering!!!!!!!! Im upgrading to MIP CVD's, i've heard RCP crawlers knuckles are better than standard. Is there any others?

I've been running the RCP knuckles,C's and straight axles nearly all year with great results. They will allow more steering, specially with the use of a CVD. I'd recommend the C's also. They allow you to turn the pinion up helping drive shaft angle while keeping the caster in check. A few guys in our club have been having issues with the MIP CVD's. I've read that guys are having better luck and performance from the Axial CVD's. Personally, from what I've seen,I'd buy the Axials.

I agree. I have been running RCP's knuckles, axle c's, rear lockouts and straight axles for about 9 months and have not had one problem.

Def get the Axial CVD's.

Only benefit to the MIP's is they only come in sets of 4 so since you wont be using the rear ones you have a spare when they break but you will be paying for it.

Mate in Australia rear steer is allowed in comps. Rear steer plus digs= LOTS OF FUN So having the better steering front and back means the manouverbility is awesome.

I have busted the Axial CVDs on 7 cells.

So if you run your rig hard I would stick with stockers or atleast keep a set on hand. Not so sure I can trust any of the CVDs out there

When my 3 cell lipo gets here I am going to really dish out a thrashing on my comp truck to make sure everything holds together before the next comp.

I was just looking at the RCP website-they have a kit with the knuckles/c's/lockouts/axles all in a kit for about $95. I'm looking at the knuckles and c's myself.
Here is the page for the kit:

Yes I run that set up and I get around 42 deg. of steering. Great set up to have for comp rigs.

Do the knuckles and C's both need to be swapped out?

Nope. Every part will work with a stock part. The RCP knuckles are definately nice and offer more steering. I used them for a while with the stock plastic Cs, but then the C would break so then purchasing the aluminum C is a good idea.

I haven't had an issues with my MIP CVDs... bought the Axial straight axle rear parts and sold off the extra set of CVDs to my buddy.

as past posts have said the rcp knuckles are a must.

i also use the mip cvd's but ive bent the pins in them. an easy fix for this is replacing the pins w/ same diameter piano wire. since i installed the piano wire ive had no issues.

The Axial CVD's are bomb proof so far with my Hi Tec 7955TG.

I added 2 Traxxas .05 Teflon shims to take out a bit of the play, but other than that, they're very nice.
