Default GC-1 Wheel Base Issues

I have put together a new comp rig using a GC-1 chassis, axial axles, and with the recommended Traxxas 5318 Revo Pushrods. My problem is that my wheel base is coming out to 12.75" a .25" over being legal. Any suggestions??

Use the staight ends on both ends of the lower arms. The ones with a bend are longer.

Dude he is using revo push rods!

If you bend the rears it would help.I just built an axial GC1 for my son, and with the rears bent it is perfect!

Did you put the lower links on the far outside on the axial mounting tabs. and then the shocks on the outside of the tab?

I wasn't. Just went and changed the rear that way real quick since I already had it apart. That gets me right at 12.5" . On the front i'm running them on the inner most side though, but still got 12.5". Just to make sure, you measure from wheel nut to wheel nut right??

Oh and if your using 4" shocks the links will be totally level and push the axle out some. I had to use dubro rod ends to lengthen the shocks some!

I don't know why you think you need to roll your eyes. I was simply pointing that out because axial rod ends won't fit on revo push rods. The push rods have 4mm threads and axial ends are only 3mm.

It was because you expected me to know that.

I was just trying to help which is better than nothing at all. I learned something.

I just installed high clearance links on mine right before I replied above. I used the same ends that the stock links use and had the wheelbase stretch out to over 12 1/2". I swapped the curved ends for the straight ones and it solved the problem. So when I read this post I thought maybe it was the same. Very sorry for not knowing it all, thanks for explaining it to me.

To be fair how about you roll your eyes at me...then we will be even, OK?
