Default anyone else missing transmission screws?

I bought two transmissions from two different vendors and EACH came with the same missing screws-the three M3x8 that hold the spur on. Also only have 2 mounting screws between them.

When the M3's were missing in the first one I didnt sweat it as one will be a transfer case but when the second came missing them too...somethings going on.

Has this happened to anyone else or is it a weird coincidence between the two I bought? These were individual transmissions, not part of the whole ax-10 kit.

It's probably because in the kit form the trans parts come in one or more bags and the spur (and parts) are in another. I bought one from my lhs and found the same thing. Lucky for me I had a ton of tmaxx engine mount screws kicking around that have washers pre-installed that work perfect.

I ordered a trans from from a vendor on here and It was complete except for the spur gear screws. Bought a spur gear at the lhs and it was only the gear, no screws.

I think that in the kit they are in a different hardware bag that may have stuff you don't need for the tranny, so they don't send it.

I've bought 2 transmission from the same vendor but at different times. On the first transmission the screws were missing, the seccond one was complete.

Just go to your local HS or Hardware store & pick up some screws!

tried that but they dont have 8mm lengths. Its not an issue as I worked it out with some other screws I had around and I only needed one spur to be installed. I was just thinking it odd since axial makes a great product. I'll figure out a way to mount it up to the skid fine too.
thanks. interesting to know I'm not the only one.

M3 x 8mm (hex) button head: use HPI HPIZ352 (pkg of 10) or Axial AXIA114 (pkg of 10)
