| stripping outputs (driveshaft setscrews)
over and over and over...already switched them out twice...MIP driveshafts and stock outputs...ive got 4 set screws on both shafts...front and rear regularly strip off the flat spot for the set screw and leave that axle in 'neutral'.......i religously retorque them and this keeps happening...im ready to break out the welder and make these a permanent fix with no screws(J/K)!!!! frustration devastation!!! any ideas?? i was thinking of filing a flat on the opposite side to have two GOOD spots for the set screws to land, or better yet, drilling out the oupput end and running a set screw through(not enough material thickness to do this imo though)???????????????? im about to buy an rc4wd r2d tranny with dig and i definitely dont wanna be striping the ends on those outputs!! |

| the set screws arent coming loose, so locktites just gonna make them harder to get off and on are the outputs the same(axial) on the dig tranny r2d from rc4wd, so i could use those chromoly ones advertised by yotachump? maybe theyll have a recess or something in them so the setscrew has a chance to stay located?? |
