| AX10 RTR Linkages ?
I'm looking at an AX10 RTR used, it's a great price if the guy still has it ($100). I understand the RTR comes with plastic linkages all around... but do they have the same ballends as the other Scorpions? That way I could simply buy a "Color pack" or a set of linkages to upgrade everything to alloy? Aside from the open front differential, slipper clutch, and servo-saver, are there any other significant differences that will effect the performance of the tuck compared to the kit/ARTR? Thanks, Happy Holidays! -Matt |

On the rtr the linkage rods are one piece, they do not have removable ball ends so if you pick up a colour change pack you will need to buy ball ends as well. I've used threaded rod and revo ballends to replace them on my rtr, if you do this run the threaded rod through aluminium tube for the lower links to help avoid hook ups

Hey, thanks for the info! I wasn't sure about the ball-ends, is all. I would need to add the hardware pack to my list of necessities. It's a drag, it sold for $100 before I could get to it. However, there's a guy up here that has a newly built kit + Novak Rooster/55T setup + HS6495 servo for $275... he's missing the decals for the body and a few odds and ends... but otherwise, seems like a decent deal. I might just wait for the SCX-10 1.9 Rig... I don't know! I do know that I would rather build one up from new stock than buy a built/used one, but if the price is right... -Matt |
